Number Of Ingredients 8

2 loaves (1 pound each) Italian bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
6 cups cubed fully cooked ham
1-1/2 pounds Monterey Jack or Muenster cheese, cubed
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 cup butter
16 large eggs
7 cups whole milk
1/2 cup prepared mustard

Steps:

  • Toss bread, ham and cheese; divide between 2 greased 13x9-in. baking dishes. In a skillet, saute onion in butter until tender; transfer to a bowl. Add eggs, milk and mustard; mix well. Pour over bread mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight. , Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 55-65 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve immediately.

3 medium English muffins, split
12 large eggs
2 cups milk
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon ground mustard
1 pound cooked ham, diced
1 ½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
¼ cup chopped green onions

Steps:

  • Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Arrange English muffin halves in a single layer in the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and mustard in a bowl until well combined. Pour egg mixture over English muffins in the baking dish. Sprinkle chopped ham and 1 cup Cheddar cheese on top of the egg mixture.
  • Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Bake in the preheated oven until eggs are set, 30 to 35 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese and chopped green onions. Slice and serve.

18 (1 ounce) slices white bread, cubed
8 ounces cooked ham, cubed
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 ½ cups diced Swiss cheese
6 eggs
3 ½ cups milk
½ teaspoon onion powder
2 cups crushed cornflakes cereal
½ cup butter, melted

Steps:

  • Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Line the bottom of the dish with half the bread cubes. Sprinkle with ham, Cheddar cheese, and Swiss cheese, and top with remaining bread. In a bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, and onion powder. Pour evenly over bread. Cover, and refrigerate overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a small bowl, blend the crushed cornflakes and melted butter. Spread evenly over the casserole.

8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
6 -8 slices bread, torn in pieces or cubed
