5 lbs. 2.3 kg - Damson plums
Plums Coating Ingredients
¼ cup 32 g - organic all-purpose flour
¼ cup 25 g - organic sugar
½ cup 64 g - organic all-purpose flour
4 oz. 113 g - unsalted butter
¼ cup 50 g - organic light brown sugar
½ cup 50 g - organic sugar
¼ tsp. - sea salt
1 tsp. - organic ground cinnamon
1 cup 90 g - organic rolled oats

Steps:

  • Preheat the convection oven to 325 F (165 C).
  • In a medium glass bowl sift the flour. Then cut cold butter into small cubes. Add salt and mash all together using a pastry cutter until it becomes a crumbly consistency.
  • Then add organic light brown sugar, organic sugar, organic cinnamon, real sea salt, and organic rolled oats. Mix everything well using a spoon. Set aside until ready to use.
  • In a small glass bowl add organic sugar and organic all-purpose flour. Mix well until combined and set aside until ready for use.
  • Rinse plums. Cut each plum in half and remove the pit. Then cut each half in half again to end with 1/4 sized pieces. Put the cut plums into a large glass bowl.
  • Sprinkle with sugar/flour coating mixture prepared earlier. Toss the plums with flour mixture until all are covered well.
  • Transfer coated plums into a ceramic baking dish. Cover with oats mixture and bake for 45 minutes at 325 F (165 C).
  • Remove crisp from the oven .
  • Cool crisp for 30 minutes to an hour before serving.

4 cups chopped plums, with skin
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar, divided
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
pinch salt
3/4 cup butter, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  • Place chopped plums in the baking dish and toss with granulated sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and cornstarch until coated.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, flour, 1/4 cup brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • Slowly pour in the melted butter, mixing with a fork until it turns crumbly.
  • Pour the topping mixture over the plums. Gently move it around with your hands until it evenly covers the plums. It's okay if the plums are not completely covered.
  • Bake, uncovered, for 40 minutes.

3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar, divided
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3 tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
5 cups sliced fresh plums (about 2 pounds)
1 tablespoon quick-cooking tapioca
2 teaspoons lemon juice

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the oats, flour, 1/4 cup sugar, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. With clean hands, work butter into sugar mixture until well combined. Add nuts; toss to combine. Refrigerate for 15 minutes. , Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine the plums, tapioca, lemon juice and remaining sugar. Transfer to a greased 9-in. pie plate. Let stand for 15 minutes. 2 (15 ounce) cans purple plums
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup raw rolled oats
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons margarine, softened
2 tablespoons light corn syrup

Steps:

  • Drain plums, reserving syrup.
  • Cut plums in half and pit.
  • In 2-quart saucepan, combine granulated sugar and cornstarch.
  • Add 1/2 cup reserved plum syrup and lemon juice, mixing until smooth.
  • Stir in plums.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until mixture starts to boil.
  • Continue cooking and stirring 1 minute longer, set aside.
  • In mixing bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • With pastry blender, cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Mix in corn syrup.
  • Reserve 1 cup mixture for topping.
  • Press remaining in bottom of ungreased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
  • Spread hot plum mixture evenly over crumb crust.
  • Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture over plums.
  • Bake at 400 degree oven about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
