MOM'S OATMEAL COOKIES

Mom's Oatmeal Cookies image

From an old Tupperware cookbook. This is my family's favorite oatmeal cookie recipe. I have been making this since I was little. I give a favorite uncle this every year for Christmas. He hides them so no one else can have any. You can either sift the flour or not. If you sift it the cookies spread more. My family prefers unsifted, the cookies stay more compact & moist. I changed it a little bit, original recipe made a base cookie mix for 12 dozen cookies.

MOMS OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES

Moms Oatmeal Raisin Cookies image

This is a great cookie that my Mother made and our family has been making them ever since. Mom was a great cook and I loved to watch her make her home made bread and cookies. There was three of us girls that used to help her with the canning and baking, and we have a lot of great memories with our Mother.

OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES

A friend gave me the recipe for these cookies many years ago, and they're as delicious as the ones Mom used to make. The secret to the recipe is to measure exactly (no guessing on the amounts) and to not overbake. -Wendy Coalwell, Abbeville, Georgia
