This recipe is from my mom. It is a Nestle Toll House recipe from way back in the early 70's.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 c peanut butter
6 Tbsp butter, softened
1 1/4 c sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 c all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 c milk chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2. In a large mixer bowl, beat peanut butter and butter until smooth.
  • 3. Add sugar, eggs and vanilla. Beat until creamy.
  • 4. Blend in flour and salt. Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips.
  • 5. Spread into un-greased 9x13 baking pan. Bake 25-30 minutes or until edges begin to brown.
  • 6. Immediately sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips. Let stand 5 minutes until morsels become soft and shiny. Spread morsels evenly over top. Cool completely. Cut and enjoy!

This is an old recipe my mom found out of a magazine years ago and cut it out to keep. She wrote "good" on it, so I figure it was worth keeping around all these years!

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 cup peanut butter
6 tablespoons butter, softened
1 1/4 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
11 1/2 ounces chocolate chips, divided

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Beat peanut butter & butter together until smooth, about 1 minute.
  • Add suar, eggs and vanilla, beat until creamy.
  • Blend in flour and salt.
  • Stir in 1 cup of chocolate chips.
  • Spread into ungreased 13x9" baking pan.
  • Bake 25-30 minutes until edges begin to brown.
  • Take out of oven and immediately sprinkle remaining chocolate chips over cookie layer, let stand 5 minutes.
  • Once chips are shiny and soft, spread evenly over whole cookie layer.
  • Cool completely & cut into 1 1/2 inch bars.

No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies image

1/4 cup unsalted butter (56 grams)
1/4 cup milk (60 milliliters)
1 cup sugar (200 grams)
3 tablespoons cocoa powder (22 grams)
1/2 cup natural peanut butter (140 grams)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups rolled oats (135 grams)
2 tablespoons ground flax seed (12 grams)
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the butter, milk, sugar and cocoa and bring to a boil over high heat. Boil for 2 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla until uniform. Add the oats, flax seed and salt and stir well to combine.
  • Immediately drop about 24 rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheets and allow the cookies to cool and set for about 15 minutes. The cookies will keep in a sealed container at room temperature for 1 week. If you'd like a chewier cookie, store in the fridge.

  • Cool completely.
