"To complete the meal, I pass a basket of Mini Cheese Biscuits," Chris notes. "We're garlic lovers, so we enjoy the flavor of these easy biscuits. If your taste buds prefer, omit the minced garlic altogether. "Friends and family tell me these treats are best warm from the oven," Chris adds. "But then, they never last long enough to cool off!"

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 cups biscuit/baking mix
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 garlic cloves, minced
2/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine biscuit mix, cheese and garlic. With a fork, stir in milk just until moistened. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 450° for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Combine butter and garlic powder; brush over biscuits.

I made this up with the ingredients I had on hand, and once they came out of the oven my taste-testers lined up. We all agreed they are very much like the Cheddar Bay Biscuits at Red Lobster, only much less greasy and less salty, and I would imagine much better for you.

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 c biscuit/baking mix
1 1/2 c mozzarella cheese, shredded
3 clove garlic, minced
2/3 c milk
1 pinch coarse ground sea salt

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray or grease a mini muffin tin (or if you don't have one, use a regular cookie sheet). In a bowl, combine the Bisquick, cheese, salt and garlic. Stir in the milk just until moistened.
  • 2. Drop by rounded teaspoon into muffin cups (or onto sheet). Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
