These have become a New Years Day brunch tradition at our home. They are quick to make and taste good as prepared or as non-alcoholic. We got the recipe out of a holiday BC cookbook several years ago.

Number Of Ingredients 5

3 tablespoons sugar
2 cups fresh orange juice, chilled
1 cup cranberry juice
2 (25 ounce) bottles champagne or 2 (25 ounce) bottles catawba grape juice, chilled
8 orange slices

Steps:

  • Put sugar and orange juice in a blender. Cover and blend on medium speed about 15 seconds, or until foamy.
  • Put 2 Tbsp cranberry juice in each of 8 glasses.
  • Pour 1/4 c orange juice into each glass.
  • Add about 1 c champagne (or grape juice) to each glass.
  • Garnish with orange slices.

These cranberry-pomegranate mimosas are great for your holiday get-togethers and cocktail parties, or for just spreading holiday cheer!

2 tablespoons white sugar, or as needed
3 frozen cranberries
1 fluid ounce cranberry-pomegranate juice (such as Ocean Spray®)
1 fluid ounce orange juice
2 fluid ounces champagne

Steps:

  • Fill a small plate with 1/4 inch of water. Pour sugar onto a second small plate, making a depth of 1/8 to 1/4 inch. Gently dip the rim of a champagne glass into the water. Raise the glass to allow excess water to drip off, then dip the rim into the sugar. Twist the glass to ensure the entire rim is coated. Discard remaining sugar.
  • Place cranberries in the bottom of the champagne glass. Add cranberry-pomegranate juice, orange juice, and champagne.

A wonderful change from the everyday orange juice and champagne mimosa!

1 (12 ounce) can apricot-mango nectar
1 (12 ounce) can pineapple juice
¾ cup cold water
1 (6 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed and undiluted
1 (750 milliliter) bottle cold champagne

Steps:

  • Stir together apricot nectar, pineapple juice, water, and orange juice concentrate in a large pitcher until combined. Pour in bottle of sparkling wine just before serving.
