MARBLED CASHEW BARK (SUPER EASY!)



Marbled Cashew Bark (Super Easy!) image

Adapted from H.E.B., this recipe is a quick and easy candy that looks really impressive on a goodie tray!

Number Of Ingredients 3

6 ounces milk chocolate (or chocolate bark or melting disks) or 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chocolate bark or melting disks)
6 ounces white chocolate chips (or white bark or melting disks)
1 cup salted cashews (pieces, halves or whole)

Steps:

  • Microwave chocolates in separate bowls for 1 minute or until almost melted, stirring halfway through heating time. Stir until completely melted. Stir 1/2 cup of the cashews into each bowl.
  • Note: Microwaves are so different, so be careful when melting chocolates!
  • Alternately spoon melted chocolates onto wax-paper lined cookie sheet. Swirl chocolates together with knife to create marble swirls.
  • Cool in refrigerator for 1 hour or until firm. Break into pieces.

6 slice squares bakers semi sweet baking chocolate
6 slice squares white baking chocolate
1 c crushed peppermint candies

Steps:

  • 1. Microwave semi sweet chocolate and white chocolate in separate medium bowls on high for 2 minutes or til almost melted stirring halfway through heating time. Stir until completely melted. Stir 1/2 the peppermint candies into each bowl. Alternately spoon melted chocolate onto wax paper lined cookie sheet. Swirl chocolate together with knife to marbleize. Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. Makes about 1 pound.

To crush candy canes, place candies in zipper-style plastic bag. Crush with rolling pin or meat mallet. Or, process in food processor, using pulsing action.

1 cup crushed candy cane (about 10)

Steps:

  • Microwave semi-sweet and white chocolates in separate medium microwavable bowls on HIGH 2 minutes or until almost melted, stirring halfway through heating time. Stir until completely melted.
  • Stir ½ cup of the peppermint candies into each bowl. Alternately spoon melted chocolates into wax paper-lines cookie sheet. Swirl chocolates together with knife to marbleize.
  • Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. Break into pieces.

My husband first tasted Tiger Butter at a retail candy company. When a friend gave me this recipe, my husband was overjoyed. It is simple, and takes no time to make. My son loves to help make this. The Prep time does not include "set" time, which usually takes 30 min. to an hour.

1 lb almond bark (9 squares)
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter or 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
1 cup semisweet mini chocolate chips (more or less to taste)

Steps:

  • Place almond bark and peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl.
  • Microwave at 50% power for 4 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes.
  • Add time in 30 second increments, until bark is melted and mixes well with peanut butter.
  • Pour onto a foil lined cookie sheet, or into a foil lined 9" x 13" pan.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips over top of mixture.
  • Let set until chips become glossy, indicating softness, or"meltiness".
  • Marble through mixture with a butter knife or rubber spatula, making certain not to mix in thoroughly.
  • Let set until hard, or you can refrigerate until set.
  • Break or cut into pieces of desired size.
  • The size of pan you use will determine the thickness of the candy.
  • Store in an airtight container to maintain freshness.

1 box (6 oz) white chocolate baking bars
6 oz semisweet baking chocolate
3 oz hazelnuts (filberts), toasted,* finely chopped (1/2 cup)

Steps:

  • Line cookie sheet with foil or waxed paper. In medium microwavable bowl, microwave white chocolate on High 1 minute, stirring once halfway through microwaving, until melted. If necessary, continue to microwave on High in 15-second increments, stirring until smooth.
  • In another medium microwavable bowl, microwave semisweet chocolate on High 1 minute, stirring once halfway through microwaving, until melted. If necessary, continue to microwave on High in 15-second increments, stirring until smooth.
  • Stir 1/4 cup of the hazelnuts into each bowl of chocolate. Alternately spoon white mixture and brown mixture in rows, side by side, onto cookie sheet; spread evenly to about 1/4-inch thickness. With knife or small metal spatula, cut through both mixtures to swirl for marbled design. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour. Break into pieces.

One of my co-workers brought this to work to share and I asked for the recipe because it was so good. Then I found out is was very easy to make too. Looks great on holiday treat trays.

1 pound(s) vanilla candy coating
1/2 cup(s) extra crunchy peanut butter
6 ounce(s) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Place candy coating in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 2 minutes or until it melts.
  • Stir in peanut butter. Spread into a greased 10 1/2 X 15 1/2 inch jelly roll pan.
  • Place chocolate chip in a small bowl. Microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Pour over peanut butter mixture. Swirl chocolate with a spatula or knife. Chill until candy hardens. Break into pieces. Store in an airtight container in a cool place.
