I found this recipe in the October issue of Family circle, Wanted to get it out there for Fall and Holiday get together's.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 c light brown sugar
1 c granulated sugar
3/4 c maples syrup
1/4 c butter
1/2 c solid packed pumpkin
1/2 c heavy whipping cream
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp salt
1 c walnuts, toasted and chopped

Steps:

  • 1. Line an 8x8 inch metal pan with parchment paper. Spray paper with non-stick cooking spray.
  • 2. In a medium pot, combine sugars, maple syrup,butter, pumpkin, cream and pumpkin spice over medium heat. Stir until butter is melted and all ingredients are combined. Bring to a simmer and cook 12 minutes or until temperature reaches 238 degrees on a candy thermometer. Stir in walnuts.
  • 3. Pour mixture into lined pan. Cool 1 hour on the counter. Cool an additional 1 hr in fridge. Slice into 36 squares.

1/4 cup(s) maple syrup
1/4 cup(s) unsalted butter
1/2 cup(s) solid-pack pumpkin
1/2 cup(s) heavy cream
1 teaspoon(s) pumpkin pie spice
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
1 cup(s) walnuts, toasted and chopped

Steps:

  • Line an 8x8-inch metal baking pan with parchment paper. Spray paper with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a medium pot, combine sugars, maple syrup, butter, pumpkin, cream, pumpkin pie spice and salt over medium heat. Stir until butter is melted and all ingredients are combined. Bring to a simmer and cook 10 to 12 minutes or until temperature reaches 238 degrees on a candy thermometer. Stir in walnuts.
  • Pour mixture into lined baking pan. Cool 1 hour on the counter, then refrigerate an additional 1 hour. Slice into 36 squares.
