Start with a simple bowl of cereal and shake things up. Layer Cheerios™ with vanilla yogurt, fresh mango, toasted almonds, caramel and sea salt. This morning bowl is anything but basic.

1 container (6 oz) Yoplait® Original 99% Fat Free French vanilla yogurt
3/4 cup Cheerios™ or Honey Nut Cheerios™ cereal
1/2 cup chopped mango
1 tablespoon chopped toasted almonds
2 teaspoons caramel sauce
Dash fine sea salt

Steps:

  • Spoon yogurt into bowl.
  • Top with cereal, mango and almonds.
  • Drizzle with caramel; sprinkle with salt. Serve immediately.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 ripe mango, peeled, pitted and coarsely chopped
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup heavy cream

Steps:

  • Place the mango in a food processor and process until smooth. Pass the mixture through a strainer into a bowl.
  • Combine the sugar and water in a small saucepan over high heat and cook until dark amber brown. Slowly add the heavy cream and mango puree and whisk until smooth. Transfer to a bowl and let cool slightly.
  • Cook's Note: this sauce is great on ice cream, pound cake and angel food cake.
