CHOCOLATE NUGGETS

Extra rich, extra chocolaty and brownie-like!

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
¼ cup butter
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
¼ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Melt chocolate chips, butter, condensed milk, sugar and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir often.
  • In a separate bowl, combine chocolate mixture, flour and chopped nuts (optional).
  • Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for about 10 to 12 minutes. Cookies will be soft. Enjoy!

4 Hershey nuggets chocolates
1 (4 1/4 ounce) package decorating chocolate icing
4 vanilla wafer cookies
8 Reese's pieces (peanut butter decorative candies)

Steps:

  • Remove wrappers from chocolates.
  • Using writing tip of decorating tube, place small amount of icing on bottom of each chocolate; press one chocolate onto each cookie.
  • Place small amount of icing onto REESE'S PIECES candies; press 2 candies onto one short side of each chocolate.
  • Pipe icing onto each chocolate to form 8 legs and 2 eyes. To make legs, start at the top of the candy, go down the side and out to form legs. For eyes, just put a dot on each candy.
  • Makes 4 servings.

No Bake Bumpy Peanut Butter Nuggets image

Found this recipe at All Recipes and thought I would make them for my little granddaughters. Chill time is not included in prep time.

1/2 c natural peanut butter, creamy, for small children
1/4 c nonfat dry milk powder
1/4 c unsweetened flaked coconut
1/3 c rolled oats
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 c wheat germ
1/4 c unsweetened apple juice concentrate, thawed

Steps:

  • 1. Combine first three items, in a large mixing bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients, until thoroughly combined.
  • 2. Shape mixture into 1 inch balls. Chill thoroughly, before serving. Store nuggets in the refrigerator. Makes 30 balls. Nutrition: One ball 46 cal, 2.9 g fat (0.8 g sat),

CHOCOLATE CHERRY NUGGETS

Dawn is right! Move over chocolate covered cherries, this is one good cookie. When you combine all the ingredients, the flavors work so well together. I especially like the addition of pecans ... it gives each bite a little crunch.

2 c butter or margarine, softened
2 c powdered sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
4 1/2 c all purpose flour
1 pkg 12 ounce- mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c chopped pecans
1 c maraschino cherries-drained and cut in fourths
1 pkg Hershey kisses, your choice of flavor

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2. In large bowl, cream butter well. Add sugar, vanilla and salt.
  • 3. Gradually add flour, mixing until well blended-batter gets stiff.
  • 4. Mix in chocolate chips, nuts and cherries.
  • 5. Drop by teaspoonful or grab chunks and roll into balls. Place onto ungreased cookie sheets. Slightly flatten with fingertip. Bake about 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • 6. After removing from oven, while still warm top with Hershey Kiss or the new cherry filled Hershey Kisses work well with this recipe. Bake another minute.

This is a recipe from Woman's Day and one that I have used for several years. Easy and quick, they are always a hit at gatherings. You can make what the DH calls the "real kind" with a liqueur or the "virgin kind" with plain old extract.

6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
2/3 cup evaporated milk
2 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1 1/4 cups finely chopped pecans, divided
1 teaspoon almond extract or 3 tablespoons liqueur

Steps:

  • In a heavy medium saucepan over very low heat, combine chocolate chips and evaporated milk.
  • Cook until chocolate melts completely.
  • Remove from heat and stir in graham cracker crumbs, confectioners' sugar, 1/2 cup pecans and extract (or liqueur).
  • Let stand 30 minutes.
  • Form into one-inch balls and roll in remaining pecans.
  • Refrigerate at least one hour or until well chilled.

My grandmother used to make these every year and mail them to us. They freeze really well and ship beautifully. May favorite are the ones rolled in nuts.

3 tablespoons corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 1/2 cups ground vanilla wafers (cookies)
1 cup nuts, finely chopped or ground
coconut or additional ground nuts

Steps:

  • Melt chocolate chips, stir in corn syrup and vanilla.
  • Stir in gradually, evaporated milk and sugar.
  • Add wafer crumbs and nuts; mix well.
  • Let stand about 30 minutes. Then shape into 1 inch balls and roll in additional ground nuts or coconut.
  • Chill or freeze.

LITTLE CANDY NUGGETS



Little Candy Nuggets image

SO easy, lots of fun! These chocolate and vanilla coated nuts are the bomb!!

2 c salted roasted peanuts
2 c chopped walnuts
2 c chopped pecans
1 lb almond bark chocolate
1 lb almond bark vanilla
mini candy/cupcake liner
candy sprinkles

Steps:

  • 1. Chop pecans and walnuts and mix with peanuts in a bowl. Place mini paper liner on two baking sheets. I used a teaspoon scoop to dish out the nuts into the mini paper liners.
  • 2. Melt Almond Bark chocolate in a double broiler or in microwave per package directions. I used a 1/4 c measuring cup to dip out the melted chocolate and pour into each liner.
  • 3. Repeat with Almond Bark White Melting Chocolate. Add some candy sprinkles for a little color if desired.
