Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak is a delicious and easy to make recipe. Flavorful beef patties with tasty seasonings, cooked in a yummy brown gravy.

1 lg Egg
1/3 cup Bread Crumbs
2 Tbsp Dried Parsley
1 tsp Onion Powder
2 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Pepper
1/4 tsp Dried Thyme
1 lb Ground Beef*
1 lb Ground Sausage*
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
1 Onion, (sliced)
8 oz Mushrooms, (sliced)
1 (10.5 oz) can Beef Consommé
1/3 cup Red Wine
1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1/3 cup Ketchup
2 cloves Garlic, (pressed or grated)
3-4 Tbsp Corn Starch
4 Tbsp Cold Water

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix together the egg, bread crumbs, parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, thyme, ground beef, and ground sausage.
  • Form 8 patties and set them on a plate.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium to medium-high, then add the olive oil.
  • Brown the patties on both sides, but don't cook all the way through. Set them on a plate.
  • After browning the patties, remove excess grease and add the butter to the pan. Then add the onions and cook them until tender.
  • Place the patties in the crock, then add the onion over them. Add the mushrooms.
  • In a 4 cup measuring cup, add the beef consommé, wine, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and garlic. Whisk together well and pour over the meat in the crock.
  • Cook on High for 3-4 hours, or Low for 6-7 hours.
  • Whisk together the corn starch and water until dissolved. Stir into the gravy and replace the lid.
  • Cook on High until the gravy thickens.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes or rice.

This recipe goes together quickly and does not need a lot of time in the slow cooker. It's a delicious way to add flavor to ground beef and the children love it! The gravy is delightful served over mashed potatoes.

2 pounds lean ground beef
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
½ cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
¼ cup milk
¼ cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1 (1 ounce) packet dry au jus mix
¾ cup water

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion soup mix, bread crumbs, and milk using your hands. Shape into 8 patties.
  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Dredge the patties in flour just to coat, and quickly brown on both sides in the hot skillet. Place browned patties into the slow cooker stacking alternately like a pyramid. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, au jus mix, and water. Pour over the meat. Cook on the Low setting for 4 or 5 hours, until ground beef is well done.

This is my recipe. I just kept adding stuff until I thought it tasted good. This is one of my son's favorite meals. I serve it with mashed potatoes and a veggie. Hope you enjoy it.

4 - 6 - cube steak
3 cup(s) water
1 - envelope dry french onion soup mix
3 - beef bouillon cubes
1 1/4 cup(s) water
1 1/4 cup(s) all purpose flour
1 tablespoon(s) worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Put into crock pot cube steaks, 3 cups water, French onion soup mix, bouillon cubes, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cook on high for 4 - 6 hours or until meat is tender enough for you and not pink in the middle.
  • Mix together remaining water and all purpose flour with a fork or wire whisk until it is lump free.
  • Pour mixture into crock pot while stirring constantly.
  • Replace lid and allow to cook on high for 30 minutes.
