This is perfect for any kind of party; even childrens' parties, formal or casual. Change the fruit and type of nuts to suit the occasion. 1 family sized package of Jello, any flavor you like, prepare the jello using a matching fruit and juice for the water, and the "speed set" recipe on the box but DO NOT PUT IN FRIDGE! SUGGESTIONS * Orange Jello with Canned Mandarin Orange slices * strawberry Jello with frozen strawberries * lime jello with canned pears and marichino cherries * cherry jello with a good fruit thingytail * raspberry jello with frozen raspberries * blue jello with canned black berries or blueberries The 2 hours' cook time listed is mainly to allow the mold to set.

1 (6 ounce) packet Jello gelatin, prepared using speed set according to the recipe on the box (BUT DO NOT REFRIDGERATE TO SET!)
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (room temperature)
1 (16 ounce) container Cool Whip (store brand is fine)
1 (15 ounce) can fruit cocktail in heavy syrup, well drained,set aside the juice (contrasting fruit, but flavor enriching)
2 tablespoons refined white sugar
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 cup finely chopped pecans (any nut will do fine, use your imagination)

Steps:

  • Prepare jello using speed set according to the recipe on the box BUT DO NOT REFRIGERATE TO SET!
  • Mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, fruit and nuts.
  • Add Jello mixture.
  • Fold in Cool Whip and pour into any shape mold and refrigerate to set.

2 medium firm bananas, sliced

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine the fruit and lemon juice. Sprinkle with pudding mix. Stir gently for 1 minute or until mixture is thickened. Fold in bananas. Refrigerate until serving.

1 (6 ounce) package fruit flavored Jell-O® mix
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
32 ounces large curd cottage cheese
1 (15.25 ounce) can fruit cocktail, drained
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained
1 (11 ounce) can mandarin orange segments
1 apple - peeled, cored and diced
1 banana, peeled and sliced
1 (10 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained
1 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Prepare gelatin according to package directions, substituting 1 cup cold water with 1 cup crushed ice. Place gelatin into freezer until almost congealed.
  • Place cream cheese in a bowl and beat until smooth. Fold cream cheese into gelatin. Add cottage cheese, fruit cocktail, pineapple, oranges, apples, banana, cherries and walnuts. Mix well.
  • Pour into mold or dish and refrigerate until completely set.

1 (16.5 ounce) can pitted Bing cherries, drained, juice reserved
1 (15 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained with juice reserved
1 (6 ounce) package cherry Jell-O®
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese
6 fluid ounces cola-flavored carbonated beverage
1 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • In a sauce pan, combine reserved cherry juice and pineapple juice to equal 1 cup. Bring to boil, add gelatin and whisk together. Remove from heat and add cream cheese and blend together until smooth.
  • Add cola and beat until mixture becomes fluffy. Fold in cherries, pineapple, and nuts. Pour into molded container, chill 6 to 8 hours or until firm.

¼ cup white sugar, or to taste
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
3 bananas, peeled and sliced
1 (15.25 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (15.25 ounce) can fruit cocktail, drained
1 large Jonagold apple, peeled and chopped
½ cup sweetened flaked coconut
1 (4 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained and halved
½ cup chopped pecans
½ cup golden raisins

Steps:
