2 pounds beef top sirloin tip steaks
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 cup 2% milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 package (15 ounces) seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 cup canola oil

Steps:

  • Flatten steaks to 1/2-in. thickness. Cut into serving-sized pieces; set aside. Place flour in a shallow bowl. In another shallow bowl, combine eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Place bread crumbs in a third shallow bowl. Coat steaks with flour, then dip into egg mixture and coat with crumbs. , In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook steaks in oil until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°, medium, 140°, medium-well, 145°), 2-3 minutes on each side.

1 pound frozen beef sandwich steaks, thawed
4 teaspoons canola oil, divided
1 medium sweet onion, chopped
3/4 cup julienned green pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup chopped dill pickles
1/2 cup Italian salad dressing
1/2 cup chopped fresh tomato
1/4 cup chopped red onion
5 hard rolls, split
2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook the steaks in 2 teaspoons oil in batches over medium heat for 3-4 minutes or until no longer pink. Meanwhile, in another skillet, saute the sweet onion and green pepper in remaining oil until tender; sprinkle with salt and pepper. , In a small bowl, combine the pickles, salad dressing, tomato and red onion; set aside., Place the roll tops, cut side up, on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with cheese. Broil 4 in. from the heat for 2 minutes or until cheese is melted. Place a steak on each roll bottom; top with onion mixture and pickle mixture. Replace roll tops.

1 cup Italian seasoned dry bread crumbs
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
½ cup olive oil
2 (16 ounce) t-bone steaks

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a broiler pan.
  • Stir the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, seasoned salt, and garlic powder together in a shallow dish such as a pie plate. Pour the olive oil into a separate shallow dish. Dip the t-bone steaks in the olive oil on both sides; allow excess to drip off. Press the steaks into the bread crumb mixture, and place onto the prepared broiler pan.
  • Bake on the middle rack in the preheated oven until the steaks have cooked to your desired degree of doneness, about 15 minutes for medium. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) for medium.

4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
1 1/4 pounds minute steak
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 1/2 cups giardiniera (pickled vegetables), plus 3 tablespoons brine from the jar
4 ciabatta rolls, split open
4 ounces sharp provolone, thinly sliced
Hot sauce, for serving (optional)

Steps:

  • Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until slightly softened, about 3 minutes. Add the garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until soft, about 3 more minutes. Season with salt and pepper, transfer to a large bowl and set aside.
  • Lightly pound the steak between 2 sheets of plastic wrap until about 1/8 inch thick. Heat the remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil in the same skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak in batches and cook until browned, about 30 seconds per side; season with salt and pepper. Transfer the steak to the bowl with the onion and garlic. Add the parsley and giardiniera brine and toss to coat. Drizzle the cut sides of the rolls with olive oil. Pile the steak and onion mixture on the roll bottoms and top with the giardiniera and provolone. Cover with the roll tops. Serve with hot sauce, if desired.

1/2 pound sliced baby portobello mushrooms
1 shallot, finely chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons minced fresh rosemary
1/2 cup roasted sweet red peppers, cut into strips
1/4 cup dry red wine or beef broth
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
1 focaccia bread (12 ounces), cut into quarters
2/3 cup shredded Asiago cheese
1/4 cup sliced pimiento-stuffed olives

My mother-in-law used to make this while my hubby was growing up and it was passed onto me with a little tweaking. Serve this with a crisp salad, favorite pasta, along with some italian bread.

1 (14 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon italian seasoning
sirloin tip roast
2 cups Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 -2 egg (beaten)
olive oil (for frying)

Steps:

  • Combine first 7 ingredients in medium sauce pan.
  • Allow to simmer approximately 15 minutes on med-high heat, then reduce to low to keep warm.
  • Slice roast into 1/8" slices.
  • (Doing this when the roast is still half frozen is the easiest).
  • Dip roast slices in egg, then in breadcrumbs seasoned with the Parmesan.
  • Heat Olive Oil to 375 degrees in fry pan or deep fryer also works well.
  • Fry roast slices approximately 3-4 minutes for each side until golden brown.
  • Layer paper towel in serving dish along with fried slices of roast to provide proper drainage of olive oil.
  • Serve roast slice with sauce on the side for dipping.
