Vodka replaces gin in this variation of the classic martini. Shake until ice cold and serve up in a chilled martini glass.

Steps:

  • Combine vodka and dry vermouth in a cocktail mixing glass. Fill with ice and stir until chilled. Strain into a chilled martini glass.
  • Garnish with three olives on a toothpick.

2 1/2 ounces London dry gin, such as Beefeater
1/2 ounce dry vermouth, preferably Noilly Prat

  • In mixing glass or cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine gin and vermouth. Stir well, about 30 seconds, then strain into martini glass. Garnish with olive or lemon twist and serve.
