BAKED HAM AND CHEESE PARTY SANDWICHES



Baked Ham and Cheese Party Sandwiches image

These small, delicious sandwiches are perfect for any party. They are so good that even the pickiest of eaters will eat these.

Number Of Ingredients 8

¾ cup melted butter
1 ½ tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 ½ tablespoons poppy seeds
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
24 mini sandwich rolls
1 pound thinly sliced cooked deli ham
1 pound thinly sliced Swiss cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix together butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, and dried onion. Separate the tops from bottoms of the rolls, and place the bottom pieces into the prepared baking dish. Layer about half the ham onto the rolls. Arrange the Swiss cheese over the ham, and top with remaining ham slices in a layer. Place the tops of the rolls onto the sandwiches. Pour the mustard mixture evenly over the rolls.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the rolls are lightly browned and the cheese has melted, about 20 minutes. Slice into individual rolls through the ham and cheese layers to serve.

My kids call these Ham Packets. Great way to use up left over holiday ham or just ham you have on hand.

4 round rolls
1 cup ham, cubed
1/2 cup montery jack cheese, shredded
1/4 cup green onion top (green onion bottoms if want more pep)
1/4 cup tomatoes, chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons djion mustard

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Hollow out the rolls, leaving a bread shell. Stir together the ham, cheese, green onion, tomatoe and mustard. Spoon into rolls; slightly compressing the top and bottom to press the mix into both top and bottom hollows. Wrap each roll loosely in foil and bake for 20 minute.

These little sandwiches are great for any party! After school snacks or lunch!

1 lb ham luncheon meat, diced
8 oz colby/monterey jack shredded cheese
2 Tbsp poppy seeds
1 Tbsp onion, minced
1 stick butter, melted
1 Tbsp mustard
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
2-3 pkg 24 dinner rolls (1x2") in aluminum foil tray

Steps:

  • 1. Mix together the first four ingredients.
  • 2. Mix together hot melted butter, mustard and worcestshire. Pour over step 1 mixture only when ready to spread on rolls. It thickens up almost immediately.
  • 3. Take rolls out of package (do not separate!). Slice in half horizontally so you have a long bottom slice and a long bottom slice (not individual).
  • 4. Spread mixture on bottom slice of rolls and place top slice back on top.
  • 5. These can be made ahead. Place them on paper towel back in the aluminum trays and microwave when ready to serve. Sart with 1 minute and add 30 seconds at a time until hot. If you want them toasted, you can leave the paper towel step out and put the rolls straight in the aluminum trays and bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes until lighly brown.

1 cup butter softened
3 tablespoons poppy seeds
1 tablespoon worcestershire
2 tablespoons prepared dijon-style mustard
2 (12 ounce) white party rolls or hawaiian rolls
1/2 pound shredded ham
5 ounces swiss cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together, butter, poppy seeds, worcestershire, dijon mustard. Slice rolls in half and spread bottoms and tops with butter mixture. Top each roll with ham and swiss. Arrange rolls in a single layer in a medium baking dish. Bake (covered so tops of rolls don't get too browned) for 10 to 12 minutes.
