1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
6 tablespoons baking cocoa, divided
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup 2% milk
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup packed brown sugar
1-3/4 cups hot water
Ice cream or whipped cream, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, whisk milk, oil and vanilla until blended. Add to flour mixture; stir just until moistened., Transfer to an ungreased 9-in. square baking pan. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and remaining cocoa; sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water over all; do not stir. , Bake 35-40 minutes. Serve warm. If desired, top with ice cream.

10 to 12 Swiss cake rolls
2 pints vanilla ice cream, softened
3/4 cup hot fudge ice cream topping
2 pints chocolate ice cream, softened

Steps:

  • Line a 2-qt. bowl with plastic wrap. Cut each cake roll into eight slices; place in prepared bowl, completely covering the bottom and sides. Cover and freeze for at least 20 minutes or until cake is firm., Spread vanilla ice cream over cake. Cover and freeze for at least 1 hour. Spread with fudge topping. Freeze for at least 1 hour. Spread with chocolate ice cream. Cover and freeze for up to 2 months. Just before serving, remove from the freezer and invert onto a serving plate. Remove bowl and plastic wrap. Cut into wedges.

2 (1/4 ounce) packages fast rise yeast
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup very warm water
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup hot fudge, ice cream sauce (don't use chocolate syrup!)
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk

Steps:

  • Spray a 9 1/2 inch deep-dish pie pan with cooking spray.
  • In the prepared pan, mix the flour, yeast, sugar, salt, water, and melted butter.
  • Top the batter with evenly-spaced spoonfuls of the hot fudge sauce. Using the spoon, swirl fudge sauce into the batter without mixing.
  • Place the pie pan in a cold oven. Set the temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 25-30 minutes, until lightly browned and firm in the center.
  • Cool 10 minutes. Combine powdered sugar and milk and drizzle over warm cake.

1 package pudding-included devil's food cake mix
1 1/4 cups water
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1/2 cup mini chocolate chip
1 (16 ounce) jar hot fudge, warmed (1 1/2 cups)
1 (16 ounce) can vanilla or 1 (16 ounce) can chocolate frosting

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350*F.
  • Grease and flour a 15x10x1" baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, water, oil, and eggs; beat with an electric mixer on low speed until moistened.
  • Beat for 2 minutes on medium speed; stir in the chocolate chips.
