HOT FUDGE FROSTING
This fudgy frosting will keep for two weeks in the refrigerator.

Steps:
- In a saucepan on very low heat, carefully melt the chocolate and butter, stirring constantly. Add the corn syrup, sugar, and milk. Increase heat to medium-high, bring to a boil, and cook for 5-8 minutes, stirring only occasionally, until the mixture becomes a candy-like, gooey fudge. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Let chill to spreadable consistency.

FUDGE FROSTING/ HOT FUDGE SAUCE
Originally the recipe was used as frosting for my grandma's chocolate mayonnaise cake, but also works well as a hot fudge sauce for ice cream. It's not overpowering in sweetness or flavor and I love the smooth texture. You decide or do what I did and try both. Cooking, prep, and yield is approximate.

- Stir first five ingredients over medium low heat until thick, when it just starts to bubble.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in vanilla and butter.
- If using as frosting let cool.
