- In a large nonstick saucepan, brown hot dogs over medium heat. Add the next seven ingredients. Cover and cook over low heat until heated through. Stir in milk; heat through.

- Heat oil in Dutch oven or small stockpot. Add potatoes, carrots, peppers and half each of the onions and garlic; cook 5 min., stirring constantly.
- Meanwhile, blend tomatoes, broth, chile, oregano, and remaining onions and garlic in blender until smooth.
- Add vegetable puree to potato mixture; stir. Bring to boil; cover. Simmer on medium-low heat 15 min., stirring occasionally. Add wieners; cook, covered, 5 min. or until heated through. Serve with tortillas.

- Put everything except hot sauce into large pot, cover with water and cook until done.
- May add tomato juice if desired instead of some of the water (I usually do).
- Add hot sauce during the last 15 minutes of cooking.

- 2. put veggies and puree, spices in to a large sauce pan,bring to a boil,reduce heat add meat and potato and cook on med. low till potatoes are fork tender,stir to keep from sticking I serve it with garlic bread

Years ago, I use to have a friend from New York. When we use to visit her mother in Brooklyn, she would make us hot dog stew. It was quite good and something got me wanting it the other day. Although I never got the recipe from her, I decided to make my own version. And here it is :)

- 1. Slice hot dogs into 1/4" pieces. Add one tablespoon or so of oil to a skillet. Cooked for about 3 minutes, or until just browned.
- 2. Bring your tomato juice, chicken stock, and brown sugar to a boil. Add in your remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
- 3. Serve & enjoy!
