8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
6 ounces extra-sharp yellow cheddar cheese, grated (about 2 cups)
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
8 ounces crab meat, picked over
1/4 cup chopped pimiento (from a 4-ounce jar)
1/4 cup sliced scallions (from about 3 scallions)
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice, plus more to taste
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
Hot sauce
1 1/2 cups torn rustic bread (from 1 loaf, crust trimmed)
Endive leaves, cucumber spears, and celery sticks, for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mash cream cheese in a bowl until very soft. Add cheddar and 1/2 cup mayonnaise and stir to combine. Stir in crab, pimiento, scallions, lemon juice, salt, and hot sauce to taste. Spoon mixture into two 14-ounce baking dishes, dividing evenly.
  • Stir together torn bread and remaining 2 tablespoons mayonnaise. Top spread with bread mixture, dividing evenly. Bake on a baking sheet until golden brown and bubbling, about 25 minutes. Serve immediately with vegetables.

1 teaspoon minced garlic
½ cup chopped jalapeno peppers
¼ cup shredded pepperjack cheese
½ cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon hot sauce
1 pinch salt
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the imitation crabmeat, garlic, jalapeno peppers, pepperjack cheese, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce and salt.
  • Transfer imitation crabmeat mixture to the baking dish. Top with Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven 25 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly browned.

1 small onion, finely chopped
1 can (6 oz.) crabmeat, drained, flaked

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Reserve 1/2 cup mozzarella; refrigerate until ready to use. Combine remaining mozzarella with all remaining ingredients.

1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
1/2 red pepper, finely chopped
1 (14 ounce) can artichokes, drained and finely chopped
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
2 green onions, finely chopped
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1 (6 ounce) can crabmeat, drained

Steps:

  • In a nonstick skillet, heat canola oil over medium heat.
  • Add jalapeño and red pepper; saute for 5 minutes or until tender.
  • Combine sauteed peppers with remaining ingredients in a medium bowl.

After my mother and sister described the hot crab sandwiches they had eaten at a San Francisco restaurant, I developed this recipe. It's become a family favorite, especially during vacations to the Oregon coast, where we can catch fresh crabs.

1-1/2 cups chopped green onions
1 tablespoon butter
6 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
8 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
4 cans (6 ounces each) crabmeat, drained, flaked and cartilage removed
Assorted crackers

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, saute onions in butter until tender. Add garlic, cook 1 minute longer. Transfer to a 3-qt. slow cooker; add mayonnaise. Stir in cheese. I finally found this recipe( cleaned out ever recipe box), so I am posting it here for safekeeping. Years ago I had this spread at a friends home in Maryland. Got the recipe put it away and forgot where it was. I reduce the fat by using fat-free cream cheese and sour cream.

1/2 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

3/4 lb fresh crabmeat
1/8 teaspoon hot sauce
2 tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning (tm)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Lightly grease a 1-quart baking dish.
  • In a 2-quart bowl, blend together cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, dry mustard and hot sauce.

1- 8oz package(s) philadelphia, cream cheese, softened
1/2 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon(s) italian seasoning
1 medium red pepper, finely chopped
1 medium onion, finely chopped, (purple or white, cooks choice)
1-6oz can(s) canned crabmeat,drained & flaked or fresh if avalible
1 box(es) original wheat thins
1 1/8 box(es) triscuit crackers

Steps:
