This makes for an easy, yummy treat. Young children can help in the process. You won't be disappointed! I added some ground flax to boost the 'health factor'

Number Of Ingredients 5

3 cups puffed wheat cereal
1/3 cup smooth peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup liquid honey
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar

Steps:

  • Lightly grease an 8"x 8" x 2" baking pan.
  • Place the puffed wheat in a large bowl.
  • In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the peanut butter, butter, honey and brown sugar and bring to a gently boil, stirring constantly until smooth.
  • Pour the peanut butter mixture over the puffed wheat and stir until well coated.
  • Press the puffed wheat mixture into the prepared pan.
  • Let cool and enjoy!

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 cups honey-roasted peanuts, divided
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
1 package (10 ounces) miniature marshmallows
1 package (10 ounces) peanut butter chips
1/2 cup butter, cubed
1/2 cup peanut butter

Steps:

  • Line a 13-in. x 9-in. pan with foil and coat with cooking spray. Sprinkle 2 cups peanuts in the pan. , In a saucepan, combine the milk, marshmallows, peanut butter chips, butter and peanut butter. Cook and stir until smooth. Pour over peanuts; spread evenly. Sprinkle with remaining peanuts; press down. Cover and refrigerate for at least 45 minutes. , Lift foil out of pan; cut into squares. Store in an airtight container.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 c peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
1 c dry powdered milk
1/2-3/4 c honey
1 tsp vanilla
OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS:
1/4-1/2 c carob powder or cocoa
1 c cereal, oatmeal, granola, etc.
coconut, wheat germ, sesame seeds
1-2 Tbsp water if mixture is too crumbly.

Steps:

  • 1. Combine first four ingredients. Mix with fork or spoon, or squeeze together in plastic bag till ingredients are well blended. For fudgy candy, add cocoa or carob now.
  • 2. Add any additional ingredients, and press into 8X8" pan, shape in log, or shape into balls, and roll in coconut, wheat germ, sesame seeds, or a combination.
  • 3. Chill in freezer for 15-20 minutes, or in refrigerator for an hour. Cut into squares or slice log into bite sized pieces.

  • Line a 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. pan with foil and coat with nonstick cooking spray. Sprinkle with 2 cups peanuts in the pan.
  • In a saucepan, combine the milk, marshmallows, peanut butter chips, butter and peanut butter. Cook and stir until smooth. Pour over peanuts; spread evenly. Sprinkle with remaining peanuts; press down.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 45 minutes. Lift foil out of pan; cut into squares. Store in an airtight container.
