HONEY LEMON DROP
This honey lemon drop cocktail is the perfect balance of tart and sweet. Serve this ice-cold beverage anytime you need a refreshing pick-me-up.

Steps:
- Combine honey and hot water in a small measuring cup or bowl. Stir until the honey dissolves, about 30 seconds. Let cool for 5 minutes.
- Place 1 tablespoon lemon juice in a small saucer and place sugar in a separate saucer. Dip rim of a martini glass in the lemon juice and then dip in the sugar. Let the glass stand while mixing the cocktail to allow sugar to adhere.
- Combine the cooled honey mixture, vodka and the remaining 1/4 cup lemon juice in a cocktail shaker; fill the shaker halfway with ice. Cover and shake vigorously until chilled, about 30 seconds. Strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with lemon slice, if desired.

- In a small saucepan, combine the honey and water over medium heat and stir until the honey is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
- Pour syrup into a glass jar and cover. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- Add sugar to a plate then rub the lemon zest into the sugar with your fingers until tinted yellow and fragrant.
- Using a lemon wedge, moisten the rim of a chilled martini glass, turn the glass upside down and twist into the lemon sugar. Set aside.
- Add vodka, triple sec, lemon juice, honey syrup and a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 30 seconds or until very cold.
- Strain into the martini glass and serve right away.

- For the honey syrup: Whisk together the honey and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and stir until dissolved, about 1 minute. Cool and store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
- For the martinis: Stir together the lemon juice, vodka or gin, 3/4 cup honey syrup and 1 1/2 cups water in a carafe or pitcher. Wrap and refrigerate until chilled, 3 to 4 hours. When ready to serve, pour into chilled martini glasses and garnish with lemon wheels.
