1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup raw sunflower seeds
⅓ cup canola oil
½ cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, stir oats, nuts and sunflower kernels together. In a separate bowl, mix together oil, honey, vanilla and cinnamon. Add to dry ingredients; mix well. Spread mixture onto two ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake in preheated oven, for 10 minutes, remove from oven and stir. Return to oven and continue baking until golden, about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool completely before storing.

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
1/3 cup raisins

This is a super easy granola recipe. It isn't overly sweet and is a real crowd-pleaser. It also makes your house smell fabulous for hours after you bake it. I normally add about 2 Tbsp. wheat germ and a tsp. brewers yeast to my dry ingredients - for nutritional value.

4 cups rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup almonds (or other nuts, chopped)
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons ground flax seeds (optional)
1/3 cup oil (coconut oil works really well)
2/3 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 300 degrees.
  • Combine oats, nuts, salt, cinnamon and flax in a large bowl and set aside.
  • Combine oil, honey and vanilla in another, smaller bowl.
  • Mix wet ingredients into dry - you may need to use your hands.
  • Then spread the mixture onto two cookie sheets lined with foil or parchment.
  • Bake 10 minutes. Then remove from oven and stir.
  • Bake an additional 10 minutes or until slightly golden.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
  • When cooled, transfer into an airtight container for storage.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • Spread oats and coconut flakes onto a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8 minutes; stir oats and coconut and rotate baking sheet. Continue baking until oats and coconut are toasted, about 8 more minutes.

1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup chopped salted peanuts
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, peanuts, chocolate chips and sunflower kernels. Stir in butter, honey and vanilla until combined (mixture will be crumbly). Press into a greased parchment-lined 15x10x1-in. baking pan., Bake 15-20 minutes or until browned and bubbly. Cool 15 minutes on a wire rack; cut into squares. 200g clear honey
4 tbsp mild-flavoured oil , such as sunflower or rapeseed
300g rolled oats
100g whole unblanched almonds
1 tsp ground cinnamon
140g dried apricots , roughly chopped

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. In a large pan, heat the honey and oil together until bubbling, then tip in the oats, almonds and cinnamon. Stir well until the oats are well coated, then tip onto 1-2 large baking sheets, spreading the mixture out. Bake for 20-25 mins, stirring halfway, until golden.
  • Remove from the oven and, while still hot, stir in the apricots. Spread out again and press down with a spatula to cool - this will help it to clump together. Once cool, serve with yogurt or milk, and fruit, if you like. Will keep in an airtight container for 3 weeks. See 'Goes well with' for recipes using your granola.

2 packages (1/4 ounce each) active dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1-3/4 cups fat-free milk
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons honey
1/3 cup butter
2 eggs
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup reduced-fat granola without raisins
1 cup rye flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats

5 to 5-1/2 cups all-purpose flour, divided
1 cup granola without raisins
2 packages (1/4 ounce each) active dry yeast
2 teaspoons salt
1-1/2 cups water
1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
2 cups whole wheat flour

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine 3 cups all-purpose flour, granola, yeast and salt; blend well. In a medium saucepan, combine water, yogurt, honey and oil; heat to 120° to 130°. Add to flour mixture along with eggs; mix on low speed. Stir in whole wheat flour and 1 cup all-purpose flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface; knead about 8-10 minutes, adding enough remaining all-purpose flour until dough is smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. 2 cups raisins
1 1/2 cups coconut
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup butter

  • Combine oats, raisins and coconut in a large bowl; mix well and set aside.
  • Combine honey, butter, cinnamon, vanilla and salt in a microwave proof bowl and cook in microwave until butter and honey are melted.

Steps:

  • In a 9-in. square baking pan, combine honey, butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Stir in oats and bran. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. Stir in raisins if desired. Cool. Store in covered container.

1 container (18 oz) old-fashioned oats (about 6 cups)
2 1/2 cups coarsely chopped pecans
2 cups sweetened flaked coconut, if desired
2/3 cup toasted wheat germ
1/4 cup sesame seed
1 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 bag (6 oz) sweetened dried cranberries

Steps:

  • Position 1 oven rack about 6 inches from top heating element in oven; place second oven rack about 6 inches from bottom heating element. Heat oven to 325°F. Lightly grease 2 (15x10-inch) pans with sides with shortening or cooking spray.
  • In large bowl, stir together oats, pecans, coconut, wheat germ and sesame seed. In medium bowl, stir together butter, honey, brown sugar, vanilla and salt. Pour over oat mixture; stir until evenly coated. Divide mixture between pans. Place 1 pan on each oven rack.
  • Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until toasted. Stir every 10 minutes and switch position of pans after first 15 minutes. Spread granola on waxed paper to cool completely. Add cranberries. Store in airtight container at room temperature up to 3 days, or freeze up to 6 months.

4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
2 cups coarsely chopped almonds
¾ cup honey
½ cup butter
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 pinch salt
1 cup golden raisins

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
  • Mix oats and almonds in a large bowl.
  • Combine honey, butter, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan; bring to a boil for 1 minute. Pour honey mixture over oat mixture; toss to coat. Spread onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven, stirring every 5 minutes, until granola is lightly browned, 15 to 20 minutes. Fold in raisins and bake for 2 more minutes. Cool and crumble.
