This is a marinade given to me a long time ago. It's great for times when you don't feel like cooking, just grilling.

4 tablespoons honey
1 1/2 teaspoons ginger, freshly grated
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic, crushed
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 green onions, chopped
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar

Steps:

  • Whisk ingredients together.
  • Add meat of your choice and refrigerate.
  • Tastes best with chicken marinating for 4-6 hours and flank steak about 8 hours or more.
  • Grill to your liking.

This is an unbelievable sweet/tangy steak marinade. First we lick our fingers, then we lick the serving dish!

1/2 cup oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients together
  • Place steak in plastic ziploc bag or non-reactive dish (glass or plastic).
  • Pour marinade over steak.
  • Marinate in the fridge 8 hours or overnight.
  • Grill or Broil steak as usual.

1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup apple juice
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
2/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup cider vinegar
2/3 cup vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Mix together all marinade ingredients in a blender.
  • Pour into plastic zip-top bag with chicken; seal and let chicken marinate overnight in refrigerator.
  • Let marinade drip off before cooking.
  • Cook on grill, bake in oven or cook over medium-high heat in skillet on stove top. (Cooking time will vary on type of chicken parts and cooking method used.).
