4 sirloin steaks (5 ounce size)
4 teaspoons soybean oil
8 large mushrooms, sliced thick
1 large onion, sliced
2 cups bean sprouts
4 tablespoons soy sauce
4 dashes salt
4 dashes black pepper

Steps:

  • Broil steak until rare. Heat non-stick skillet and add oil to heated skillet. Add onion and cook until slight brown and soft. Place steak cubes in skillet with mushrooms and cook to desired preparedness (i.e rare, medium, well done). Add bean sprouts and soy sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add steak sauce (typically a mustard based sauce).

20 oz sirloin steaks
8 large mushrooms
½ cup soy sauce
1⁄4 cup Chinese cooking wine
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp ginger
½ tsp sesame oil
4 tsp soybean oil
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper

Steps:

  • Prepare steak marinade, and place meat in the marinade for at least 1 hour before cooking. Remove steak from marinade and cut it into bite-size pieces.
  • Heat a skillet to medium-high add oil, and then steak pieces. When the steak pieces are close to being cooked through, add a little more of the soybean oil then add mushrooms.
  • Season steak and mushrooms with salt and pepper.
  • Serve and enjoy.

This hibachi-style steak can be made at home in the style of Benihana! The best part is that no special flat top is required. All you need is a cast iron skillet, some succulent steaks, and 15 minutes.

2 Striploin steaks
▢1 tablespoon Minced garlic
▢¼ cup Soy sauce
▢2 tablespoon Oyster sauce
▢½ cup Unsalted butter
▢1 batch Bang bang sauce

Steps:

  • Sear the steaks: Season both sides with salt and pepper. Sear the steaks in a thin layer of olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat for 12 minutes on each side, or until a crust forms on each side.
  • 2 steaks, striploin
  • Cut the steak: While the steak is still in the pan, cut it into bite-sized pieces with a small pairing knife. The steak will still be undercooked in the center, which is exactly what you want!
  • To make the sauce, heat the butter, garlic, soy sauce, and oyster sauce in a saucepan. Coat the steak in the sauce and continue to sear and cook it. The steak only needs to sear in the sauce for 2-3 minutes for medium doneness.
  • Serve with bang bang sauce on the side.

4 teaspoons soybean oil
1 large onion, sliced
8 large mushrooms, sliced thick
2 cups bean sprouts
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 pinches of salt, or to taste
4 pinches of pepper, or to taste
4 dashes of mustard-based steak sauce

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the broiler 2. Broil the steak until rare, cute into 1 inch cubes. 3. Heat a nonstick skillet and add the oil to the heated skillet. 4. Add the onion and cook until slightly brown and soft. 5. Place the steak cubes in the skillet with the mushrooms and cook to the desired degree of doneness (rare, medium, well-done). 6. Add the bean sprouts and soy sauce. 7. Add the salt and pepper. 8. Add the steak sauce, and serve.
