1 baguette (8 to 10 ounces), sliced 1/4 inch thick (about 60 slices)
3/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
White-Bean and Caper Crostini
Tomato-Basil Crostini
Artichoke-Dill Crostini
Salami-Ricotta Crostini
Pesto-Bocconcini Crostini
Goat Cheese and Sun-Dried Tomatoes Crostini

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Arrange baguette slices on two large rimmed baking sheets; brush both sides with oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  • Bake, rotating sheets halfway through, until golden, 15 to 20 minutes (if undersides are not browning, turn crostini over once during baking). Let cool on baking sheets. Top crostini with desired toppings, and serve.

Creamy Garlic Roasted Cherry Tomato Crostini: image

Serve these small bites fresh and warm for the ultimate hearty snack!

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 french baguette, sliced in 3/4 inch slices
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
2 pints cherry tomatoes
1/4 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
1 (7 oz) package Arla Original Cream Cheese Spread
1 bunch fresh basil, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • Heat broiler on oven. Arrange baguette slices on two large baking sheets in an even layer. Brush both sides with butter.
  • Place an oven rack about 4 inches away from the broiler.
  • Toast baguette slices until golden brown, about 2 minutes, depending on your oven. Flip crostini and toast the other side as well.
  • Let cool on baking sheets.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
  • In a large bowl, toss together cherry tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper.
  • Transfer tomatoes to prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, until the tomatoes are completely softened and starting to wrinkle.
  • Generously spread Arla Cream Cheese Spread onto crostini. Top with warm tomatoes and fresh basil. Serve immediately.

20 (1/2-inch-thick) slices French bread
1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
1/2 cup garlic-and-herb cream cheese spread (from 8-oz container)
4 medium green onions, chopped (1/4 cup)
Chopped fresh thyme leaves, if desired
Chopped fresh plum (Roma) tomatoes, if desired

Steps:

  • Set oven control to broil. On ungreased cookie sheet, place bread slices. Lightly brush each with oil. Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat about 1 minute or until light golden brown.
  • In small bowl, mix cream cheese and green onions. Spread mixture on toasted bread slices. Broil about 1 minute longer or until cream cheese bubbles. Garnish with thyme leaves and tomatoes.
