1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 (1 1/4 ounce) package chili seasoning mix, original
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (14 ounce) can reduced-sodium beef broth
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 1/2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Cook ground beef, bell pepper and onion in large skillet on medium-high heat 4 to 5 minutes or until beef is browned. Add Seasoning Mix; stir until well mixed.
  • Stir in tomatoes, beef broth and tomato paste. Bring to boil. Stir in macaroni. Reduce heat to medium; cover and cook 10 minutes or until pasta is tender.
  • Sprinkle with cheese; cover. Let stand 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

1 package chili seasoning mix
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper (optional)
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can tomatoes, chopped
3/4 cup water
2 cups elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, brown ground beef.
  • Drain fat.
  • Stir in chili seasoning mix, onion, bell pepper, tomatoes and water.
  • Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Add cooked macaroni and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Before serving, top with shredded cheddar cheese, if desired.
  • Serve with tortilla chips or corn muffins.
