This is one of their "most requested recipes". Be sure to thoroughly drain pineapple in a wire strainer BEFORE measuring.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/3 cup butter or 1/3 cup margarine, melted
1 1/2 cups sugar, granulated
3 extra large eggs
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons cornmeal
1 1/4 cups crushed pineapple, canned, drained
1 1/4 cups flaked coconut
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (9 inch) pie crusts, unbaked (your favorite)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • In medium bowl, beat together butter, sugar, eggs, flour, and cornmeal until well blended.
  • Add drained pineapple, coconut, and vanilla, mixing well. Pour into pie shell.
  • Bake 45 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out "almost" clean (filling will be very moist).

1 c sugar
20 oz can crushed pineapple, drained well
2 Tbsp flour or cornstarch
1 c pecans, in pieces
2 c coconut, flaked
2-3 bananas
12 oz whipped topping, thawed
2 pie shell, baked & cooled

Steps:

  • 1. Cook sugar, pineapple and flour until thickened in a 2 quart saucepan, stirring to prevent sticking. Cool mixture to touch.
  • 2. Slice bananas to cover the bottom of both baked and cooled pie crusts. Pour chopped pecans over bananas, spread coconut evenly over both pies.
  • 3. Pour cooled pineapple mixture over coconut in both pies. Top with whipped topping and refrigerate 4-6 hours.

2 box small - instant vanilla pudding
20 oz crushed pineapple
16 oz sour cream
1 medium banana
maraschino cherries
1 can(s) whipped cream
coconut, flaked
1 pkg graham cracker pie crust

Steps:

  • 1. Mix together with a spoon until blended the following : Pudding mix, pineapple (do not drain), sour cream
  • 2. Slice banana and arrange evenly on the bottom of graham cracker crust
  • 3. Spoon pudding mixture over bananas Place in fridge till cold
  • 4. Top with optional : Coconut flakes , whipped cream and cherries Enjoy !

I had tasted this desert while on vacation in Hawaii.. Then back in the states,and after a couple tries. I finally made what I feel is a close duplicate of that tropical delight.. To my surprise my ingredients made two pies. So a twin version was formed. This is a lucious no-cook,quick and easy two pie delight. MMmmmmmm ! Now close youre eyes and smell the pineapple and coconuts! You will think you are in Hawaii, all you need are the tropical ocean breezes!! This recipe makes two twin pies. Yes...you will need both, they just seem to dissappear!

1 - 20 oz- can crushed pineapple= well drained
1 - 8 oz-container frozen whippedtopping=thawed
1 - 14 oz-can sweetened condenced milk
1/3 cup(s) lemon juice
2 - 9 inch- graham cracker crusts
1/2 cup(s) flaked coconut

Steps:

  • In a large bowl blend the sweetened condenced milk, thawed whipped topping, drained pineapple and lemon jice with an electric mixer for 2 minutes until thickened.
  • Pour the mixture evenly into the two pie crusts.
  • Sprinkle each with pie with 1/4 cup of flaked coconut. Refrigerate until chilled....for serving.
  • Close your eyes.....pretend you are in HAWAII
