2 lb (907 g) frozen hash browns, (thawed (cubed or shredded))
½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, (melted)
10.75 oz (1 can) condensed cream of chicken ((see notes for homemade version))
2 cups ( 480 g) sour cream
½ cup onion, (chopped)
2 cups (230 g) cheddar cheese, (grated (see notes))
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350º F (180º C). Spray casserole or baking dish (2-quart) with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and stir together until well combined. Pour into prepared pan or dish. Cover baking dish with aluminum foil.
  • Bake for 30 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for 10-15 more minutes until the top is golden brown.
  • Serve with your favorite breakfast dishes, such as pancakes, waffles, or french toasts.

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
½ cup melted butter
½ cup chopped onion
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup crushed cornflakes
½ cup melted butter

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Mix hash browns, cream of chicken soup, Cheddar cheese, sour cream, butter, onion, salt, and pepper together in a bowl. Arrange in a 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle on top. Drizzle butter over the cornflakes.

1/2 cup butter, melted
1 (14 ounce) can beef broth
1 small yellow onion, diced
3 tablespoons instant minced onion
2 cups monterey jack cheese, colby cheese blend, shredded
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spray 13 x 9 oven safe casserole dish with cooking spray (butter flavored works well with this dish).
