- In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in the ketchup, water, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder and salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Serve on buns.

- In a skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, cheese, onion, bouillon and garlic powder. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until bouillon is dissolved and cheese is melted. Cut the bread in half widthwise and lengthwise. Carefully hollow out top and bottom of loaf, leaving a 1/2-in. shell (discard removed bread or save for another use). Spoon meat mixture into bottom halves of bread. Top with additional cheese if desired, green pepper and tomato. Replace bread tops. Wrap in heavy-duty foil. Bake at 400° for 15-20 minutes or until heated through. Slice and serve warm.

- Crumble the ground beef and onion into a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring to break up lumps, until no longer pink. Drain off the grease and return to the stove. Add the Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, salt, pepper, and butter. Bring to a boil, then set the heat to low and simmer uncovered until the liquid is almost completely gone, about 40 minutes. Remove from the heat, cover, and let rest for 15 minutes before serving on buns.

HAMBURGER SOUFFLE SANDWICH
These sandwiches came about quite by accident- and turned out quite nice. I had some ground beef in the refrigerator I couldn't decide what to make with it so this sandwich was born! Tasty little bugger too!

- 1. preheat oven to 350^. Spray bottom of a baking pan that will hold 4 of the bread slices. Set aside. Toast 4 slices of the bread, then butter the slices and place butter side up in the prepared baking pan.
- 2. Brown the meat with the onion and celery , salt and pepper,and mix in the mustard. Stir to blend. Drain any grease. Spread the meat mixture over the toasted slices of bread in the baking dish. Sprinkle cheese on top equally.
- 3. Place remaining 4 slices of untoasted bread on top and brush light with mustard , if desired. --- Combine eggs and milk and beat until well blended and pour over top of bread equally. Sprinkle tops with paprika, if desired. Bake about 40-45 minutes, until top bread is golden brown.
- 4. NOTE: I did add a can of store brand mixed vegetables, drained to the ground beef mixture.... you can add any thing you like to the meat mixture.
