Delicious! As it is with any Halloween punch, a frozen 'hand' adds just the right spooky touch! The combined colors make a delightfully scary look!

1 (.13 ounce) envelope unsweetened grape soft drink mix
1 (.13 ounce) envelope unsweetened orange soft drink mix
2 cups white sugar
3 quarts cold water
1 liter ginger ale

Steps:

  • To make a frozen hand, wash a disposable glove, fill with water, seal with a rubber band and freeze until hard.
  • Stir together grape soft drink mix, orange soft drink mix, sugar and water until solids are dissolved. Combine with chilled ginger ale just before serving. Dip the frozen hand briefly in warm water, then peel off the glove. Float the prepared hand in the punch bowl for a ghastly effect.

3 cups red fruit punch, chilled
1 (1-liter) bottle strawberry daiquiri mix, chilled
1 (2-liter) bottle Dr Pepper Cherry, chilled
1 (46-ounce) bottle concord grape-raspberry juice, chilled
1 (1-liter) bottle ginger ale, chilled

Steps:

  • Fill a powder-free latex glove with punch; tie closed. Freeze at least 6 hours or overnight. (For the best shape, hang the glove from a rack in your freezer with the fingers pointing down.)
  • When ready to serve, combine the remaining fruit punch, daiquiri mix, Dr Pepper, grape-raspberry juice and ginger ale in a large punch bowl. Peel the glove off the frozen hand and add to the bowl.

You can always add a little booze to individual glasses, as well. Prepare the gelatin hand at least 1 day in advance.

disposable glove
2 ½ cups water, divided
2 ½ (.25 ounce) packages gelatin powder
½ cup water
½ cup white sugar
2 ounces fresh ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced
2 cinnamon sticks
5 whole cloves
2 quarts cranberry juice, chilled
2 quarts sparkling water, chilled
1 ¼ cups vodka, chilled

Steps:

  • Wash and rinse the outside of a large disposable glove. Turn glove inside out.
  • Pour 1/4 cup cold water into a large bowl and sprinkle gelatin powder on top; let stand for 1 minute.
  • Bring remaining 2 1/2 cups water to a boil. Pour over gelatin mixture, stirring constantly until granules are completely dissolved. Allow to cool slightly.
  • Pour gelatin mixture into the glove using a funnel. Ensure that the liquid has completely filled all of the fingers. Use a rubber band to tie the top closed. Place on a plate or tray lined with parchment paper and freeze until solid, 1 to 2 days.
  • Combine 1/2 water, sugar, ginger, cinnamon sticks, and cloves in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat. Pass through a sieve to catch ginger pieces and spices. Let cool.
  • Combine juice, sparkling water, and vodka in a large punch bowl. Stir in 1/2 of the ginger syrup. Add more syrup to reach desired flavor.
  • Remove frozen hand from the freezer and dip briefly in warm water. Cut off the top of the glove. Peel away the glove carefully. Immerse the frozen hand in the punch before serving.

1 can (46 ounces) pineapple juice, divided
1 package (3 ounces) orange gelatin
1 carton (64 ounces) orange juice
1 liter ginger ale, chilled
1 quart orange sherbet

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, bring 1 cup of pineapple juice to a boil. Stir in gelatin until dissolved. Cool; transfer to a large pitcher or container. Add orange juice and remaining pineapple juice. Chill. Just before serving, pour into a punch bowl; add ginger ale and mix well. Top with scoops of sherbet.

6 pouches fruit snacks filled with real fruit juice, any flavor
2 new plastic gloves
water
Punch:
1 C boiling water
1 box (4-serving size) orange gelatin
1 can (46oz) chilled pineapple juice
1 Qt chilled apple cider
1/4 C lemon juice
1 bottle chilled ginger ale

Steps:

  • Divide fruit snacks evenly between gloves. Pour cold water over fruit snacks, filling to within 1 inch of top; tie end of glove. Freeze until solid. In a 3qt heatproof pitcher or bowl, pour boiling water on gelatin; stir until dissolved. Stir in pineapple juice, cider and lemon. Cover and refrigerate until serving time. Just before serving, peel loves off of hands, place hands in punch bowl, fruit snack side up. Pour punch into bowl over hands. Gently stir in ginger ale, serve.
