GRANNY'S SWEET-AND-TART APPLE CRISP
A sweet and tart dessert that disappears at every dining table. It is a fun twist on apple cobbler! Goes great with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping! Wonderful hot or cold.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Spread diced apples into the bottom of a 9-inch square baking dish.
- Stir brown sugar, oats, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a bowl. Mash softened butter into the sugar mixture with a fork until you get a crumbly consistency; spread over apples to cover.
- Bake in preheated oven until the apples are tender, about 30 minutes.

GRANNY'S APPLE CRISP
Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8-inch square pan. In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, oats, flour and butter. Mix until crumbly. Place half of crumb mixture in pan. Spread the apples evenly over crumb mixture. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and top with remaining crumb mixture. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, or until golden brown.

- Heat oven to 375 degrees.Grease bottom and sides of square pan,8*8*2 inches,with shortening.
- Spread apples in pan. Mix remaining ingredients excepet cream;set over apples.
- Bake 30 mins. or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender when pierced with fork.serve.
