This simple sauce is perfect for basting grilled or broiled seafood of all kinds... you can also use it as a dipping sauce for steamed crab, mussels, clams, oysters, or other shellfish.

1/2 cup butter
2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
3 teaspoons sweet paprika
1 lemon, juice of
1 teaspoon finely grated lemon, zest of
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt (omit if using salted butter)
1 dash hot sauce (optional)

Steps:

  • Melt butter in small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add all other ingredients, stir to combine.
  • Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer for 2-3 minutes, remove from heat.
  • Brush on seafood while grilling or broiling, pour over steamed shellfish, or use as a dipping sauce.

2 tablespoons sesame seed oil
3 tablespoons sherry wine
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
2 tablespoons English mustard or 2 tablespoons Chinese mustard
1/4 cup honey

Steps:

  • Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and heat until the butter has melted and the mixture is bubbly.
  • Whisk smooth, cool to room temperature and set aside until you are ready tpo use it.

1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed
16 large shrimp - peeled, deveined, and tails on, or more to taste
3 large cloves garlic, smashed, or more to taste
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, or to taste
2 teaspoons seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®), or to taste
salt and ground black pepper to taste
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 teaspoons lemon zest

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat until warm, 2 to 3 minutes. Add shrimp, garlic, and pepper flakes all at once and stir together. Add seafood seasoning, salt, and black pepper and mix until combined.
  • Cook and stir until shrimp are bright pink on the outside and the meat is opaque, 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to low and stir in parsley, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
