- Preheat oven to 350°. In a small bowl, combine the first four ingredients. Place in a 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake until golden brown, 18-20 minutes, stirring occasionally; cool on a wire rack. Set aside 1/3 cup for topping; sprinkle remaining nut mixture into a lightly greased 13x9-in. dish., In a large saucepan, combine the egg whites, 1 tablespoon sugar, water and cream of tartar over low heat. With a portable mixer, beat on low speed for 1 minute. Continue beating on low speed until mixture reaches 160°. Pour into a large bowl. Add strawberries, lemon juice and remaining sugar; beat on high for 8 minutes or until light and fluffy., In another large bowl, beat cream until stiff peaks form. Fold into strawberry mixture. Transfer to prepared dish; sprinkle with the reserved nut mixture. Cover and freeze for 6 hours or overnight.

FLUFFY FROZEN STRAWBERRY DESSERT RECIPE
A buttery, nutty crust with a creamy strawberry filling, this dessert is perfect for summer!

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, butter, and walnuts. Mix together and spread out on a large cookie sheet I used a 15 x 10 x 1 baking sheet.
- Cook for about 15 minutes, stirring 2-3 times during baking. Let cool for about 5-10 minutes, remove 1/2 cup to use for later, and press the rest of the nut mixture into a 9 x 13 baking pan that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
- In another bowl, mix together strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Fold in the Cool-Whip and spread over the cooled crust.
- Top with the reserved 1/2 cup of nut mixture, sprinkled over the strawberry filling.
- Cover and place in the freezer for at least 6 hours.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl. Mix until evenly moistened; press into the bottom of a 10-inch springform pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven until edges begin to brown and smell toasted, about 8 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool completely, about 1 hour.
- Combine milk and pudding mix in a bowl; beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Add ice cream and strawberries in syrup and stir until completely combined. Pour over cooled crust.
- Freeze until firm, at least 3 hours. Remove from the freezer 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

- In bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, walnuts and cinnamon. Mix well. Stir in melted butter until well blended.
- Transfer mixture to large baking tray. Bake at 350 for 20 minute stirring often. Mixture should be crumbly. Cool.
- In large bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar, beating constantly until very thick.
- Add undrained strawberries and lemon juice. Beat for at least 10 minute until mixture is very light and fluffy (mixture will fill bowl.) Fold in whipped topping, blending well.
- Into bottom of buttered 9x13 glass dish, evenly distribute half of brown sugar and nut mixture.
- Carefully spoon in strawberry mixture, spreading evenly. Sprinkle with remaining nut mixture. cover and freeze 8 hours or more.
- Remove from freezer about 20 minute before serving. Cut into squares. Garnish each serving with a whole strawberry and a mint leaf sprig, if desired.

- Line 13x9-inch pan with foil, extending foil over all sides of pan. In medium bowl, combine all crust ingredients; mix well. Press evenly in bottom of foil-lined pan. Freeze 30 minutes. Place strawberry ice cream in refrigerator to soften.
- Spoon softened strawberry ice cream onto crust; smooth with back of spoon. Freeze 30 minutes. Place vanilla ice cream in refrigerator to soften.
- Place softened vanilla ice cream in large bowl; stir with spoon until smooth. In small bowl, combine pudding mix and half-and-half; stir until blended. Add to ice cream; mix with electric mixer at low speed until well blended. Spoon over strawberry ice cream. Freeze 4 hours or until firm.
- Meanwhile, in large saucepan, combine powdered sugar, chocolate chips, butter and evaporated milk; stir to mix. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Boil 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Cool at least 1 hour before serving.
- To serve, let dessert stand at room temperature for 15 minutes. Cut into squares. Serve each with fudge sauce, whipped topping and strawberries.

- In a small bowl, combine the pretzels, sugar and butter. Press onto the bottom of a greased 11-in. x 7-in. dish. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. For filling, in a large bowl, combine milk and daiquiri mix. Beat in cream cheese until smooth. Stir in strawberries; fold in whipped topping. Pour over crust (dish will be full). Freeze for 4 hours before serving. Yield: 15 servings. To Make Ahead: This dessert can be made two weeks before serving. To serve with a strawberry sauce, puree 2 packages (10 ounces each) frozen sweetened sliced strawberries, thawed and undrained in a food processor or blender. Strain through a fine sieve. Yield: 2 cups.
STRAWBERRY-BUTTERMILK FROZEN DESSERT
THREE ingredients! So simple, so quick, pity you need to freeze it before eating! This came from a South African magazine probably 2 decades ago, name of mag long forgotten. I copied it and have made it many times. Use any other preserves or jam, but strawberry is really nice.

- Stir together the buttermilk, jam/preserves, and vanilla until mixed.
- Pour into a suitable freezer container, and freeze until firm, perhaps overnight.
- Cut up the frozen mixture, place in mixing bowl, and whip with electrix mixer until fluffy.
- Return to freezer container, cover, and freeze until firm.
- Serve scoops in pretty bowls with fresh strawberries and mint leaves.
