FUNKY FRITO FRUCKIES

Anytime I can find a mixture of salt and chocolate, I jump on it. These cookies/candies are rich but wonderful. If you are not a big fan of chocolate, or want these a little less sweet, leave the chocolate off.

10 ½ ounces corn chips
1 cup white sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup creamy peanut butter
11 (1.55 ounce) bars milk chocolate

Steps:

  • In a greased 10 x 15 inch pan, place the corn chips.
  • In a saucepan, bring the sugar and corn syrup to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter until smooth. Pour this over the chip and smooth level.
  • Pour this over the chip and smooth level. Place the chocolate bars in a single layer over the hot mixture and wait a few minutes until the heat melts them and then smooth the chocolate out to form a thin layer. Allow to cool and then break into pieces.

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 packages (9-3/4 ounces each) corn chips, divided
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips, divided
1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup creamy peanut butter

Steps:

  • Spread 1 package of corn chips on the bottom of a greased 13x9-in. baking pan; sprinkle with 1 cup chocolate chips., In a large heavy saucepan, combine sugar and corn syrup. Bring to a boil; cook and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter. Pour half of the peanut butter mixture over chip mixture. Top with remaining corn chips and chocolate chips; drizzle with remaining peanut butter mixture. Let stand until set. Cut into bars.

The perfect combination of salty and sweet, Frito Bars never fail to be a crowd-pleaser.

One 9.25 oz Bag of Fritos
1 cup Peanut Butter
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Corn Syrup

Steps:

  • Spray a 13 x 9 baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Spread Fritos into the baking dish.
  • Over medium heat, combine peanut butter, sugar, and corn syrup. Stir until the ingredients are combined and melted together.
  • Pour over Fritos.
  • Refrigerate to set. Cut into squares and enjoy!

I found this recipe online and was not sure about it. Tried it for a bake sale and now I have to make then all the time. EVERYONE loves them.

Number Of Ingredients 5

10 1/2 oz bag regular fritos
1 c sugar
1 c light karo syrup
3/4 c peanut butter
11 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. Slightly break up the Fritos in the bag and put them in a 9X13 pan. Heat sugar and Karo in a saucepan and cook until warm and sugar is disolved but don't boil. Take off heat and stir in peanut butter and pour evenly over Fritos. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top and let them soften. Let stand over night or if you can't wait, put them in the fridge for about 15 minutes and cut in squares.
