1 1/2 lbs ground beef
4 sesame seed rolls, split and toasted
1 cup mixed greens
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 tablespoon jamaican jerk spice
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
2 teaspoons lime zest
1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Combine the ground beef, curry powder, jerk seasoning, and 1 tsp salt in a large bowl. Mix lightly but thoroughly.
  • Shape into 4 (3/4-inch) thick patties.
  • Heat grill to medium.
  • Place patties on the grill and grill 13-15 min, uncovered for medium doneness. Turning two to three times.
  • Meanwhile, combine the mayonnaise, yogurt, lime juice, lime zest, and 1/4 tsp salt in a small bowl.
  • Spread sauce on cut sides of rolls.
  • Place a burger on bottom half of each roll; top evenly with the mixed greens.
  • Top with the other half of the rolls and serve.

This is a great, easy burger recipe. The ground beef is combined with green chile peppers and beef bouillon. This makes them very moist and flavorful. Serve on hamburger buns with your favorite fixings.

1 (4 ounce) can diced green chilies, drained
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
4 slices Monterey Jack cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat grill for high heat.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the beef, diced green chilies, and bouillon. Shape into 4 patties.
  • Lightly oil the grill grate. Grill patties 5 minutes per side, or until well done. Top each patty with cheese about 2 minutes prior to removing from grill.

1 ½ pounds lean ground beef
6 each sesame seed sandwich rolls, split, toasted
1 cup watercress or mixed spring greens
1 tablespoon curry powder
1 tablespoon Caribbean jerk seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
¼ cup low-fat plain yogurt
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
2 teaspoons grated lime peel
¼ teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Combine Ground Beef and seasoning ingredients in large bowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Shape into six 1/2-inch thick patties. Place patties on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, covered, 8 to 10 minutes (over medium heat on preheated gas grill, 7 to 9 minutes) until instant-read thermometer inserted horizontally into center registers 160 degrees F, turning occasionally.
  • Meanwhile, combine sauce ingredients in small bowl; set aside.
  • Spread sauce on cut sides of rolls. Place one burger on bottom half of each roll; top evenly with watercress. Close sandwiches.
