2 fluid ounces coffee-flavored liqueur
1 fluid ounce cream or milk
1 cup crushed ice

Steps:

  • Combine vodka, coffee liqueur, cream, and crushed ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously to chill. Pour into martini glasses, and serve.

1 1/4 cups whole milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 1/4 cups espresso
1 cup amaretto liqueur
1/2 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Steps:

  • For the Espresso Nightcap: Combine the milk, heavy cream, espresso, and amaretto liqueur, in a medium saucepan. Place over low heat, stirring constantly until hot but not boiling, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • For the Vanilla Cream: In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream until thick Add the powdered sugar and vanilla. Continue to beat until cream holds soft peaks.
  • To serve: Pour the Espresso Nightcap into 4 (8-ounce) mugs. Dollop with the Vanilla Whipped Cream and serve immediately.

2 cups dark rum (such as Bacardi®)
1 vanilla bean

Steps:

  • Stir brown sugar into espresso in a bowl or container with a spout until dissolved; stir in rum. Pour mixture into a clean, dark bottle; add vanilla bean. Seal bottle tightly with a lid and let sit for 1 month before drinking.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 1/2 cups coarsely ground espresso (from 8 ounces whole beans)
3 cinnamon sticks (each about 2 inches long)
1 bottle (750 milliliters) vodka, such as Smirnoff
1 1/2 to 2 1/2 cups Simple Syrup
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Combine espresso, cinnamon sticks, and vodka in a large nonreactive jar; cover and let stand at room temperature 1 to 2 days. Strain through a cheese-cloth-lined sieve, then through a coffee-filter-lined sieve. Stir in simple syrup to taste, then vanilla. Divide mixture among clean jars. Refrigerate up to 3 months.
