Time 1h50m

Yield 3-4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 racks baby back ribs
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
black pepper
garlic powder
16 ounces barbecue sauce

Steps:

  • Take ribs out of package and rinse off with cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Take a fork and remove the thin membrane off of the back of the ribs. (Sometimes this is not easy to do and its okay to leave it on).
  • Take each rack of ribs and cut them into thirds or fourths sections. Place ribs on shallow sided pan or a cookie sheet with sides. ( I foil line the pan for easy clean up ) Season with the pepper and garlic powder to taste and let ribs sit at room temperature for about 1/2 hour or so.
  • Pre heat oven to 350. Take about 3 or 4 tablespoons of apple cider vineger and pour it into the pan of ribs (NOT ON THE RIBS THEMSELVES). Cover the ribs with foil and place in the oven. Cook ribs for about 1 hour or until the meat is just starting to pull away from the bone.
  • Pull ribs from oven, remove from pan and brush on BBQ sauce. (I use Cattlemens Classic Brand) Place ribs on pre heated BBQ grill and grill on medium heat turning often and brushing with BBQ sauce after each time you turn them. Grill them until ribs are fully done.

EASY ALWAYS TENDER PORK RIBS WITH BBQ SAUCE NO GRILLING

Easy Always Tender Pork Ribs With BBQ Sauce No Grilling image

I find the advantage of this recipe not only being easy, but also you can cook more than 1 slab at a time (which you cant on the average BBQ grill).

Time 4h5m

Yield 2 slabs

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 pork rib racks
yellow mustard
barbecue sauce (I prefer Sweet Baby Rays)
all purpose seasoning (recipe to follow )
1 cup kosher salt
1/4-1/2 cup onion and garlic powder, depends on your taste i use 1/2 of both
1/8 cup coarse black pepper, i mix it and put it in a shaker and use it for everything

Steps:

  • Hand massage the yellow mustard on all surfaces of the ribs.
  • Then to taste sprinkle the all purpose seasoning to the ribs.
  • Place in a baking pan or roasting pan and set the over for 225-250°F.
  • Bake for at least 5 hours.
  • One hour before they are done, begin to baste with BBQ sauce every 30 minutes till you get a decent coating. If you like, you may broil at the end for a little crispness, but the bones by this time will be falling out. Leftovers (if you have any) may be used for pulled pork sandwiches.

EASY TENDER RIBS

Easy Tender Ribs image

This is my spin on a rib recipe I found on the web. Easy, falling of the bone tender, and sure to please. What else could you ask for? All ingredients can be altered to your taste!

Provided by Chris 5

Categories     Meat

Time 1h10m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 lbs baby back ribs (or country ribs)
1/4 onion, coarsely chopped
1 -2 garlic clove, coarsely chopped
2 (18 ounce) bottles barbecue sauce (I love Sweet Baby Rays)
12 ounces of any beer (may omit)
water, to cover ribs

Steps:

  • Cut your ribs to fit the largest pot you have.
  • Add onion, garlic, one bottle of BBQ sauce, and beer, if using. Add water to cover. Mix.
  • Bring uncovered to boil, lower heat and simmer for at least 45 min to an hour. Remove ribs to a platter and let cool slightly. Slather generously with your remaining bottle of BBQ sauce, saving some for basting while grilling.
  • (At this point, you can either fire up the grill, or put the ribs away until you are ready to grill them. I often make these in the morning, and grill them in a flash for dinner.).
  • Preheat your charcoal or gas grill, and throw the ribs on (bone side down first) for about 10 min per side, basting with remaining BBQ sauce often. Watch so they don't burn.
  • Serve with your favorite BBQ sides. Enjoy!
