Steps:
- Mix potatoes, flour, cereal, eggs, egg yolks, and salt together in a bowl using your hands until the mixture comes together into a workable dough. Roll dough into 4- to 5-inch long logs with the diameter of a quarter.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add the dough logs, and cook until the dumplings float, about 15 minutes.

- 1. To make the dumplings, add the potatoes flour, eggs, chive and spices to a large bowl.
- 2. Blend together till completely mixed.
- 3. Shape into medium size balls, according to your preference.
- 4. Fill a large pot with water or chicken broth, and bring to a full rolling boil.
- 5. Drop dumplings into boiling liquid, (dumplings will sink to bottom of pot)When fully cooked dumplings will float to the top.Only add enough dumplings to cover bottom of pot, do not over crowd pot.
- 6. Remove from pot with a slotted spoon, to a large platter, till all the dumplings are cooked.
- 7. Melt 1/2 stick of butter and 2 tablespoons of olive or canola oil to a large skillet. Add the sliced or chopped onions then add the dumplings.
- 8. Cook over medium high heat, till onions are transparent, and dumplings begin to brown, turn to prevent sticking.
- 9. When fully cooked. Remove from skillet to a platter, add additional chopped chive if desired and serve while still hot.

- Combine Potato Buds & hot water.
- Add remaining ingredients in given order, mix well.
- Form into 2-inch balls with hands, flour hands occasionally so dough doesn't stick.
- Cook in boiling salted water until they rise to the top.
- Remove dumplings from water with a slotted spoon & place in butter casserole dish.
- Sprinkle with bread crumbs & keep layering melted butter, dumplings & crumbs.
- Cover with foil & bake at 325* for 5-10 minutes.

Steps:
- Unroll crescent rolls and lay flat on a work surface. Cut sweet potato patties in half. Roll 1 half-patty in a crescent roll, stretching dough to cover patty completely and make a dumpling. Repeat with remaining patties and rolls.
- Place walnuts in a plate. Dip dumplings into nuts, pressing down to coat the top. Place coated dumplings in a 9x12-inch glass baking dish, nut-side up.
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
- Combine water, sugar, margarine, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a heavy saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat just until sugar and margarine are dissolved, 3 to 5 minutes. Pour sauce over dumplings in the baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven until bubbling, 20 to 25 minutes.

These Viennese dumplings are so versatile, soft, tender and delicious. You can use them in soups, or eat them plain with butter, seasonings and parsley, or serve them with pesto or your favorite sauces or gravies. - 1. Boil potatoes in a pot of salted water until tender. Drain and set aside to cool so you can work with them. Put a large pot of salted water to boil.
- 2. Peel the potatoes, using a potato ricer, press then through. While the potatoes are still warm, shape them into a mound with a well in the center.
- 3. Into the well of the potatoes add the following: 2 cups flour, eggs, butter, onion and 1/2 tbsp. salt. Now gently knead the dough until it is smooth, adding more flour (up to 4 tbsp as needed) if dough is tacky.
- 4. Divide dough into 12 equal pieces and roll each piece of dough into a ball. Add 6 dough balls to pot of water, (20 min.) reduce heat and gently simmer, stir frequently, the dumplings will float to the top when they are cooked.
- 5. Do the same thing to the remaining 6 dough balls. When ready to serve toss in melted butter and season with salt, pepper and parsley, or top with a sauce or gravy of your choosing.
