I can't recall where I got this recipe from, but it is a very simple casserole that is very good too! Your little ones will love it for sure!

1 ½ pounds lean ground beef
1 (15 ounce) can pizza sauce
1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
¼ cup sliced pitted ripe olives
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, or more to taste
1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease. Stir in sauce, mushrooms, and olives. Cook and stir until heated through, about 2 minutes more. Transfer mixture to a 2-quart rectangular baking dish. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of the casserole.
  • Flatten each biscuit with your hands and arrange on top of the cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until biscuits are golden, 15 to 17 minutes.

This is a kid pleaser-very cheesy and topped with pepperoni. It makes 2 large (9x13) casseroles or 4 small ones; I often divide it in fourths and freeze 3. This originally came from TOH's Quick Cooking.

2 lbs ground beef or 2 lbs ground venison
1 large onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 (26 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce
16 ounces rotini pasta, cooked and drained
5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (20 oz)
8 ounces sliced pepperoni

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef, onion, garlic and seasoning in oil.
  • Drain.
  • While beef is browning, cook pasta according to the packaging
  • Stir in pasta, spaghetti sauce and 3 cups cheese.
  • Place mixture in 2 greased 9x13x2 inch baking pans or 4 square pans.
  • Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.
  • Top with pepperoni.
  • Cover and freeze up to 3 months.
  • To cook now: Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes, until heated through.
  • To bake frozen casserole: Thaw in refrigerator overnight and bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes, till hot.

4 cups unpeeled shredded zucchini
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided (or to taste)
2 cups mozzarella cheese, divided (or to taste)
1 lb ground beef
1 -2 tablespoon minced fresh garlic
salt and pepper
1 onion, chopped
1 (15 ounce) can Italian-style tomato sauce (tomato sauce, with 1/4 tsp. each, oregano and basil)
1 medium green pepper, seeded and chopped

Steps:

  • Set oven to 400°F.
  • Grease a 13x9 pan.
  • Place zucchini in strainer; sprinkle with salt.
  • Let drain for 10 minutes.
  • Squeeze out moisture.
  • Combine zucchini with eggs, parmesan cheese, and half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  • Press into greased 13x9 baking pan.
  • Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, brown ground beef with garlic and onions, season with salt and pepper; drain any fat, and add/mix the tomato sauce; spoon over baked zucchini mixture.
  • Top with remaining cheeses, and sprinkle with green pepper.
  • Return to oven and bake for another 20 minutes more.

Oh here is a great low carb recipe for pizza lovers. You can add more of what you love on your pizza. If you like more mushrooms add more, or green pepper, you get the picture.

2 chicken breasts, cooked skin removed
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2-1 teaspoon oregano
4 ounces mushrooms
8 ounces low-fat pizza sauce
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped (optional)
1/4 cup green olives, chopped (optional)
4 ounces mozzarella cheese, to taste (or more)

Steps:

  • Place whole chicken breasts into a casserole dish. Sprinkle on the onion salt and the oregano. Add onions, mushrooms, green pepper, olives.
  • Pour Pizza sauce over chicken and veggies.
  • Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes, remove from oven and top with cheese. Bake another 5 to 10 minutes or till the cheese is bubbly.
  • Serve with a green salad!

I found a casserole recipe on a pasta box and tweaked it to suit my hearty eaters. This dish is easy and oh so tasty. This is one of my go to dishes. You can add your own favorite pizza toppings in the casserole. This is one recipe that does not have to be the same every time. It can be changed to fit what kind of pizza you are craving.

1 pound(s) lean ground beef or turkey or chicken
1 medium onion - chopped
1 small red bell pepper - chopped
3 1/2 ounce(s) package of sliced pepperoni
7 ounce(s) cut spaghetti
26 ounce(s) your favorite pizza sauce
3 cup(s) shredded mozzarella / italian blend cheese
2 teaspoon(s) italian seasoning
- salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350. Brown ground beef with onion, red bell pepper, salt & pepper.
  • Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions.
  • In 2 1/2 quart casserole dish, mix cooked pasta,pizza sauce, pepperoni, cooked ground beef, Italian seasoning, and 2 cups of the cheese; sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.

2 cups egg noodles
1 lb ground beef
1/3 cup onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
1/3 cup water
1/2-1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350.
  • Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and reserve.
  • Meanwhile, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium high heat for 6 minutes or until beef is no longer pink. Drain off excess liquid. Stir in oregano, salt, soup, 1/3 c water, and noodles. Remove from heat and add half the cheese. Spoon into 11x7 baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly.
  • Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
  • Note: since making this more often I tend to use Penzey's Pizza Seasoning instead of the spices, use extra cheese, and double all but the meat to freeze casseroles that are less "meaty.".

This Easy Pizza Casserole has all the terrific flavors of pizza baked in a dish that both kids and grownups will love!

12 ounces uncooked totini or fusilli pasta
1 pound mild Italian sausage
30+ Pepperoni slices
24 ounce jar of Marinara or Pomodoro sauce
16 ounce jar of Pizza Sauce
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
8+ ounces of shredded Mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish and set it aside. Preheat the oven to 350°.
  • Cook the pasta in well-salted water according to the directions on the package for al dente, then drain and add to the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Brown the sausage, breaking it into small pieces, then drain off excess grease. Top the pasta with the sausage.
  • Wipe the pan to remove excess grease, then cook the pepperoni until slightly crisp.
  • Pour the sauces over the sausage.
  • Top the sauce with half the pepperoni.
  • Sprinkle the top with both kinds of cheese, then the rest of the pepperoni.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for 10 more minutes or until the cheese is melted and starts to brown.

How to make Easy Cheesy Pizza Casserole

1 lb ground beef*
1/2 cup ricotta
pinch of oregano
pinch of basil
1 tbs grated Parmesan cheese
1 - 26 oz jar of pasta sauce
-or-:
1 can pizza sauce**
⅛ - 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Pepperoni slices (I used 1/2 of a package of Hormel brand)
2 cups shredded mozzarella
1/2 cup shredded aged Provolone
Herbed Parmesan Drop Biscuits
Additional Parmesan cheese for topping
Herbed Parmesan Drop Biscuits:
2 1/4 cup baking mix (like Bisquick or Jiffy)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
2/3 cup milk

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef in skillet; drain fat. Mix in pasta or pizza sauce and pepper flakes; set aside. Mix ricotta cheese with the herbs and Parmesan in a separate bowl; set aside.
  • Mix the dry ingredients for the biscuits. Add milk and stir until combined.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a 13 x 9 pan with non-stick spray. Drop biscuit dough by teaspoons in the bottom of pan, spacing evenly. It's OK if there is space between the dough-it will expand as it's cooked. Top with ground beef mixture and dot with the ricotta cheese mixture. Bake at 375 for about 20 min or until biscuits are puffed and beginning to get golden brown.
  • Top with mozzarella and provolone cheeses and distribute pepperoni slices evenly over top, increase oven temperature to 425 degrees. Return to oven and bake until cheeses are melted and beginning to bubble. This should take about 10 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and let stand 5 minutes before slicing and serving. May be topped with the additional Parmesan cheese.
  • Serves about 6 (hearty servings)
  • *equal amount of bulk Italian sausage may be substituted
  • **home made sauce may be substituted

  • Preheat oven to 400. In large skillet brown hamburger; drain. Stir in onion, pepper, garlic, spaghetti sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.In bowl, combine milk, oil and eggs. Beat 1 minute at med. speed. Add flour and salt; beat 2 minutes.Pour hot meat mixture into ungreased 13x9 pan. Top with Mozzarella cheese. Pour batter over cheese, covering completely. Sprinkle with Parmesan.Bake at 400 for 25-30 minutes until puffed and deep golden brown. Serve immediately.
