Number Of Ingredients 6

4 cups water, divided
2 medium peaches, chopped
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup lemon juice
1 medium lemon, sliced
Mint sprigs, optional

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups water, peaches and sugar to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes or until peaches are tender. Remove from the heat. Cool. Strain, discarding peach skins., In a large pitcher, combine the peach mixture, lemon juice and remaining water. Add lemon slices and mint if desired. Serve over ice.

8 cups (2 litre) water (divided)
3 cups granulated sugar
7 peaches
1 cup (250ml) lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

Steps:

  • Mix together the sugar and 3 cups of water in a saucepan and add in the whole peaches.
  • Place the saucepan over a medium flame and stir occasionally until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Bring to the boil and boil for 2 minutes.
  • Switch of the heat and allow the syrup cool with the peaches in it.
  • Strain and decant into a container and keep the peach simple syrup in the fridge until required.
  • In a large pitcher, combine 1 1/4 cups peach simple syrup, 1 cup fresh lemon juice and 4-5 cups of water.
  • Chill in a refrigerator till needed.
  • Add ice to some glasses or mason jars and top with peach lemonade and any garnishes.

1 cup white sugar
7 cups water, divided
1 ¼ cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 fresh peaches, peeled and pitted
sliced peaches for garnish
ice as needed

Steps:

  • Place sugar in a saucepan. Pour in 1 cup water. Turn heat to medium and stir continuously until sugar granules are dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Pour lemon juice into a pitcher. Pour in remaining 6 cups water.
  • Place pitted peaches into a Vitamix® blender. Blend until smooth. Pour peach purée into the pitcher along with the simple syrup (dissolved sugar in saucepan). Stir to combine.
  • Adjust to taste. Add garnish such as a slice of peach, ice, and serve.
