I love this with a pan of corn bread or crackers. Any type of frozen potato will work, a friend of mine used tator tots and it was so very good.

1 pkg 30 oz. frozen hashbrowns
3 can(s) 14 oz chicken broth
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup
1/2 c onion
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 pkg 8 oz. cream cheese
4 slice cooked bacon
shredded cheese
green onions
sour cream

Steps:

  • 1. Cook bacon until good and done,drain on paper towel to soak up grease.
  • 2. Combine all ingredients except cream cheese and last three ingredients (those are for garnish)and put in crockpot.
  • 3. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. In last hour put in cream cheese and cook until well combined. Enjoy!

1 (30 ounce) bag frozen hash brown potatoes (cube southern style)
2 (14 ounce) cans chicken broth
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/3 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese (softened)
minced green onion, to Garnish
shredded cheddar cheese, to garnish
bacon, crumbles to garnish

Steps:

  • In a crockpot combine potatoes, broth, soup, onion and pepper.
  • Cover and cook on low 5 hours.
  • Stir in cream cheese, cook 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until combined.
  • Add garnish to each bowl or put on table to be added if desired.

1 bag(s) 30 oz bag of shredded hash browns
3 can(s) 14 oz cans of chicken broth
1 can(s) can of cream of chicken soup
1/2 c chopped onion
1/4 tsp ground pepper
1 pkg 8 oz pkg of cream cheese / do not use fat free, it will not melt

Steps:

  • 1. In the crockpot, combine everything EXCEPT the cream cheese.
  • 2. Cook for 6 to 8 hours on low heat
  • 3. About one hour before serving, add the cream cheese (Fat Free cream cheese will NOT melt), and keep heated until thoroughly melted.
  • 4. Serve with what ever toppings you would like, such as a spoonful of sour cream, some green onions, some bacon bits, or whatever you want to add to make it your special soup! Enjoy!

1/2 cup(s) chopped onion
- salt and pepper to taste
1 package(s) cream cheese (8 oz.)

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients together (except cream cheese) in crockpot.
  • Cook on low for 5 hours (stirring occasionally.)
  • Cut up cream cheese and add to crockpot, cook an additional 30 minutes to combine. (stirring occcasionally.)
  • Garnish with bacon, green onions and shredded cheese.
