DRUNKEN APPLES - LIKE FAMOUS DAVE'S
This is a recipe I found that is supposed to be close to the side from Famous Dave's BBQ -- I just ADORED these apples with ribs...and I know they work well with ham dishes for holidays!! *recipe untried by me yet, hope it is close to them!! Yield is a guess.

A nice looking version of canned drunken apples I found on another website.... sub any nice, firm pie apple local to you--freshest is bestest!! LOL ***untried by me as yet-yield is a guess, so please let me know if you try it first!

My all-time favorite side dish! A very simple copy of Famous Dave's® delicious Drunkin' Apples!

Steps:
- Stir apples, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a large saucepan. Pour rum into apple mixture and stir until apples are evenly coated and a thick sauce forms.
- Bring apple mixture to a boil over medium heat and cook, stirring frequently, until apples are soft, about 20 minutes. Cool for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
