This is crunchy, sticky, chewy, sweet & chocolatey all at the same time. This is NOT a good for you recipe.... Cooking time is refrigeration time.

395 g skim condensed milk
50 g butter
1 cup milo
2 1/2 cups rice bubbles or 2 1/2 cups Rice Krispies
1 cup dried mixed fruit

Steps:

  • Place condensed milk & butter into a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 2 minutes.
  • Stir mixture well to combine.
  • Add rice bubbles, milo and fruit, stir well.
  • Spoon mixture into a lined lamington pan. press down firmly.
  • Refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until firm.
  • Slice into squares to serve.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge.

3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
150 g butter
1 cup milo
1 (250 g) packet plain sweet biscuits, crushed (I use round wine)
1 cup desiccated coconut
1 cup raisins
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 tablespoon butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons boiling water

Steps:

  • Grease the base and sides of a 27cm x 18cm baking tin.
  • Place condensed milk and the 150g butter in a medium saucepan.
  • Heat, stirring constantly, until the butter has melted.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the Milo.
  • Combine the biscuit crumbs, coconut and raisins in a bowl.
  • Pour the Milo mixture into the biscuit mixture and mix thoroughly.
  • Press firmly into the prepared tin and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  • *Icing.
  • Place the icing sugar, cocoa and 1 Tbsp butter in a small bowl.
  • Add the vanilla and boiling water.
  • Mix to a spreadable consistency, adding a little extra water if required.
  • Ice the slice with the icing, allow to firm, then cut into bars.

This is, well, easy as pie! Crunchy, chewy, cheesy, buttery... All the things that us comfort-food addicts love!

1 (1 lb) box frozen potato & cheese pierogi
3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425.
  • Boil pierogies for 3-4 minutes, or until they float to the water's surface.
  • Drain well.
  • Place in an 8-inch pie plate (glass, preferably).
  • Put the 3 inividual tablespoons of butter on the top of the pierogies.
  • Sprinkle the cheese over all.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, until edges brown and the cheese and pierogi edges are crispy.
  • If you did it right, the bottoms of the pierogies should be crispy, too.
  • Serve hot.
