Number Of Ingredients 9

1 lb ground beef
1 (10 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables
1/3 cup of chopped green pepper
1 (3/4 ounce) package brown gravy mix
1 1/4 cups hot water
1 dash salt
1 dash garlic powder
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated biscuits

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Brown beef in skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently; drain fat.
  • Add next 6 ingredients.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Remove from heat, stir in mayo.
  • Place mixture in casserole dish.
  • Flatten biscuits slightly and arrange overlapping around the edge of casserole.
  • Brush biscuits with additional mayo.
  • Put in oven and bake for 15 minutes or until heated and biscuits are browned.

My husband,Cork, loves this recipe. Easy to make and filling. serve with a tossed salad.

4 c frozen potato crowns
1 lb lean ground beef
1 pkg 10 oz frozen chopped broccoli--thawed
1 can(s) french fried onion rings
1 can(s) cream of celery soup (i use mushroom soup)
1/3 c milk
1 c shredded sharp chedder cheese
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Place potato crowns on bottom and up sides of a 7"X 11"baking dish..bake uncovered in a preheated 400 degree oven---10 minutes.
  • 2. Meanwhile ,brown beef in large chunks; drain.
  • 3. Place beef,broccoli,1/2 can onions in the potato shell.
  • 4. Combine soup, milk,1/2 cheese and seasonings. Pour over beef mixture.Bake,COVERED,20 minutes.
  • 5. Bake,covered, in a 400 degree oven...20 minutes. Top with remaining cheese & onions. Bake, UNCOVERED,until cheese melts and casserole is hot.
