Steps:
- Spray 6-quart oval slow cooker with cooking spray. In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook sausage over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until no longer pink; drain.
- Unroll pizza dough; fold in half crosswise. Place pizza dough in slow cooker; press in bottom and 1 inch up sides. Spread pizza sauce evenly over dough to within 1/2 inch of edges. Top with half each of the cooked sausage, bell pepper, onion and cheese. Repeat with remaining sausage, bell pepper, onion and cheese.
- Place folded, clean dish towel under cover of cooker. This will prevent condensation from dripping down onto pizza. Cover; cook on High heat setting 45 minutes. Carefully remove slow cooker's ceramic insert, leaving cover on, and rotate insert 180°. Continue to cook on High heat setting 30 to 60 minutes or until crust edges are deep golden brown, cheese is melted, and thermometer inserted in center reads 165°F.
- Loosen edges of pizza with metal spatula or small knife; carefully remove from slow cooker to cutting board. Cut and serve.

Steps:
- Preheat the slow cooker on high for 20 minutes. Spray the insert with nonstick cooking spray.
- On a clean surface, stretch, roll and form the dough into roughly the same shape as the slow cooker insert. The goal is a nice, thin crust. Place in the cooker and spread out if necessary. Cook on high, UNCOVERED, for 1 hour without toppings.
- Shingle the mozzarella slices over the dough and up the sides about 1 inch above the crust. Overlap each slice, moving in a clockwise circle until the perimeter is covered. Place 1 more slice to cover the empty spot in the middle, if necessary. Shingle a layer of pepperoni the same way you did the cheese. Follow with a small layer of the pizza sauce. Sprinkle with the Parmesan.
- Cook on high until the cheesy crust is dark and caramelized and the bottom is firm and brown, another hour. Carefully take out of the slow cooker using a spatula. Garnish with the basil and crushed red pepper.
CROCKPOT DEEP DISH PIZZA
I must say I was pleasantly surprised when this turned out as good as it did. I originally saw this somewhere on Pinterest and it was on my phone but when I went back to find the recipe it was gone. So, I just added my own toppings and tried to remember what the recipe said. Anyway, it turned out great! --The amounts are all...

Steps:
- 1. Spray your crockpot generously with Pam olive oil. Then place your dough down in the bottom of pan. Press it down and make it as even as possible. Add your pizza sauce (don't go to the edges --- leave a border of dough as you would a normal pizza), sausage, pepperoni. Add your shredded Monterey jack cheese to your liking.
- 2. Next add as much spinach as you like...I added about a 1/2 bag on top and then put the mozzarella cheese next. Don't forget your olives is adding them. Doesn't matter that the spinach is not pressed down as it will cook down over time.
- 3. Now cook on high for 2 to 2 1/2 hrs...I would check yours as each crockpot has a different temp for high and mine cooked up at about 2 hrs and 15 minutes. I removed the pizza with two rubber spatulas so I wouldn't scratch my crockpot.
- 4. Let it rest for about 5 minutes or so and then slice.
- 5. Here are the slices. (Just a side note: My husband was upset that he saw I put spinach on top but when took a bite of the pizza he loved it. Ate the spinach and all.) --I just love when that happens. hehe
DEEP DISH PIZZA RECIPE BY TASTY
Great news: You don't have to travel to Chicago to eat doughy, cheesy deep dish pizza because now, you can make it right in your kitchen. The most time-consuming part of this recipe is making the dough, but you can prepare it up to a month in advance and freeze it for later. Bake the dough in a deep dish pan covered with homemade tomato sauce, sausage, and cheese until it's golden-brown and bubbling.
