This is our ultimate comfort food. It's so easy and delicious. Serve it over mashed potatoes, biscuits, or whatever you like. Hell, this stuff would taste great on a flip-flop.

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 pkg dry chicken gravy mix
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup
1-3/4 c water
1/4 tsp pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Empty gravy packs into your crockpot. Add pepper, cream of chicken soup, and water. Whisk until well blended.
  • 2. Add chicken breasts.
  • 3. Cook on low for 6 hours or until chicken is shreddable. Remove breasts and shred. Return shredded chicken to crockpot and cook an additional 1/2 - 1 hour.

Ingredients:
2 (0.87 oz.) packets dry chicken gravy mix
1 (10.75 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
2 cups water
1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
garlic powder, salt & black pepper, to taste
1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
rice, mashed potatoes or noodles to serve over

Steps:

  • Directions: Season chicken breasts (both sides)with garlic powder, black pepper and just a tad bit of salt. Note: the chicken gravy and cream of chicken soup already have salt in them so don't go overboard on seasoning with salt (about a teaspoon should work). In your slow cooker, whisk together the gravy packets, cream of chicken soup, and water until smooth. Add the seasoned chicken breasts. Be sure to get them covered in gravy. Cover and cook on low for about 6-8 hours. Once cooked, break chicken up into chunks using a fork. Stir in sour cream (if using). Note: I think the sour cream adds a great creaminess to this so I definitely recommend adding it in! Then serve over rice, mashed potatoes or noodles.

Oh my GOSH...this stuff is GOOD! I modified Loretta Hall's recipe for Baked Chicken and Gravy for use in my crockpot. 6 - chicken breasts
- salt and pepper
1 large can cream of chicken soup
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup (reg.size)
16 ounce(s) sour cream

Steps:

  • Place frozen chicken in crock pot and season how you like it. Cook on High setting 2 hours (ish) ..till chicken is cooked through but not falling apart.
  • Remove chicken. Add cream of chicken soup with the sour cream to broth in crock pot.
  • Return chicken to crockpot and bury in the gravy.
  • Finish cooking...at least another hour. Gravy should be hot and chicken cooked through.
  • Serve with Tracy's Parslied Rice
