SWEET CRISPIX (OR CHEX) PARTY MIX image

Number Of Ingredients 6

12oz box or 6 cups of cereal.
2 cups of mixed nuts
1 cup brown sugar ( I have another recipe that says 1 1/2c.)
1 1/2 sticks of butter (3/4 cup)
1/3 cup light corn syrup
1/4 tsp baking soda

Steps:

mix cereal and nuts together in large bowl. set aside. melt butter, sugar and corn syrup in sauce pan over medium heat, boil 1 minute stirring constantly. remove from heat and stir in baking soda. stir 1 minute. (it will be foamy.). quickly pour mixture over cereal and nuts and stir until well combined. You can now use the oven or microwave. Microwave: your cereal mixture must be in a microwave safe bowl. Cook on high for 1 minute; stir and repeat 4 more times. Oven: put cereal mixture on cookie sheets covered with parchment paper. bake at 250 F for 15 min. Stir and bake another 15min. For Both methods: after baking or microwaving, spread the mixture out on the counter, covered with wax paper (or parchment paper )that has been sprayed with Pam. Let cool then break into pieces.

7 cups Crispix® sweetened multi-grain cereal
2 cups Sunshine® Cheez-It® Original crackers
1 cup pretzel sticks or twists
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds, crushed
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese or Romano cheese

Steps:

1. In 2-gallon zipper-type storage bag, combine KELLOGG'S CRISPIX cereal, SUNSHINE CHEEZ-IT crackers and pretzels. Set aside.2. Stir together oil, hot pepper sauce, Italian seasoning and fennel seeds. Pour over cereal mixture. Close bag and gently toss until evenly coated. Sprinkle with cheese and close bag. Gently toss until evenly coated. Store in airtight container.
