Yield 8 cups of cereal snack mix

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 (6 ounce) package semisweet chocolate morsels (1 cup)
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts (optional)
6 cups other Rice Chex or 6 cups Corn Chex
1 cup powdered sugar

Steps:

  • In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate on HIGH for 1 minute.
  • Stir and heat an additional 30 seconds at HIGH or until melted.
  • Stir in peanut butter and peanuts.
  • Gently stir in cereal, until well coated.
  • Place powdered sugar in 2-gallon storage bag.
  • Add cereal and close bag.
  • Gently toss cereal mixture until well-coated.
  • Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
  • Note: You can make this on the stove-top.
  • Use a double boiler to melt chocolate, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Stir in peanut butter and peanuts.
  • Pour mixture over cereal and proceed with recipe.

1/2 cup peanuts (optional)
6 cups Crispix® sweetened multi-grain cereal
1 cup powdered sugar

Steps:

  • 1. In large microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate at HIGH 1 minute. Stir and heat 30 seconds longer at HIGH or until melted when stirred. Stir in peanut butter and peanuts. Gently stir in KELLOGG'S CRISPIX cereal, until evenly coated.2. Place powdered sugar in 2-gallon zipper-type plastic bag. Add coated cereal to sugar and close bag. Gently toss cereal mixture until evenly coated. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. Yield: 16 servingsMicrowave cooking times may vary.CONVENTIONAL DIRECTIONS: Melt chocolate over low heat, stirring constantly until melted. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and peanuts. This stuff is addicting! I got this recipe from a neighbor a few years ago. It is a great munchie that everyone loves.

6 cups Crispix cereal
1 cup miniature pretzel twists
1 cup pecan halves
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup butter (no margarine)

Steps:

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spray a 9 X 13 pan with cooking spray.
  • Break pecan halves in half.
  • Mix together cereal, pretzels, and pecans in the pan.
  • Melt together butter and brown sugar.
  • Drizzle brown sugar mixture over cereal mixture.
  • Mix all together.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.
  • Stir.
  • Bake an additional 8 minutes.
  • Continue to stir mixture until completely cool or it will harden into one big mound.
