1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (8 ounce) bottle zesty Italian-style salad dressing
1 (5 ounce) package melba toast rounds
2 small cucumbers, sliced
1 sprig fresh dill, or to taste

Steps:

  • Mix cream cheese and dressing together in a bowl. Spread mixture over melba toasts. Top with cucumber slices and sprinkle with dill.

2 english cucumbers-long and narrow
1 ( 8 ) oz softened cream cheese
1/4 c salad dressing
3/4 tsp drid dill

Steps:

  • 1. In a small bowl combine softened cream cheese, miracle whip , onion, and dill. Using a mixer cream together till light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Place in refrigerator while preparing cucumbers, this will allow the cream cheese mixture to firm up a little. Peel cucumbers lengthwise leaving 4 or 5 strips of the cucumber skin,cut off ends. Slice cucumbers into 1/2 inch slices, you want to make sure to cut them straight, remove the centers of each slice. Place cucumbers on a plate lined with a sheet of paper toweling, this will allow you to absorb some of the moisture from the cucumber slices. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes. Using a pastry bag fill the centers of the cucumber with the cheese mixture. Top with a garnish like a piece of red or yellow pepper, a sprig of dill, even a piece of bacon. Refrigerate for at least a half hour before serving so that the cheese mixture can firm up nice and stiff but still creamy.

1 small carrot, shredded... divided 1/2 cup
1/2 cup(s) philly chive & onion cream cheese
2 large cucumbers

Steps:

  • Cut the cucumbers lengthwise in half & seeded them.
  • Reserve 2 Tbsp. of the carrots. Mix the remaining carrots with the cream cheese.
  • Spoon into the cucumber shells. Top with the reserved carrots.
  • Cut each cucumber half into 5 equal pieces befroe serving.

This is a quick but tasty appetizer dish that's popular in the Middle East.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 large english cucumber
4 ounce(s) semi-soft goat cheese
1 small shallot, minced
3 tablespoon(s) fig jam
1 tablespoon(s) fresh thyme leaves, chopped
1 large lemon, zested

Steps:

  • Cut the cucumber into 32 round slices, each about 1/4-inch thick.
  • In a bowl, mix together the goat cheese and shallot.
  • Spread about 1/2 teaspoon of the cheese mixture on top of each cucumber slice. Top each with about 1/4 teaspoon of fig jam. Sprinkle a pinch of thyme on top of each appetizer.
  • Place appetizers on platter, sprinkle a pinch of lemon zest on each (or some) appetizer, and serve. If not serving immediately, wrap the platter with plastic wrap and keep in refrigerator for a few hours or until ready to serve.
