Number Of Ingredients 13

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup white baking chips
1 cup dried cranberries
1 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in the chips, cranberries and pecans. , Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on pans 2 minutes before removing to wire racks.

This recipe is from the 1998 Pillsbury Bake-Off Finalist Arlene Kremblas from Cheektowaga, New York. I just really like them!

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 (15 5/8 ounce) package pillsbury cranberry muffin mix
3/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup dried sweetened cranberries
1/2 teaspoon orange zest
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon water
2 large eggs

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • In large bowl, combine bread mix, oats, coconut, cranberries and orange peel; mix well.
  • Add oil, water and eggs; mix well.
  • Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake at 350° for 10-13 minutes or until bottoms are golden brown.
  • Remove from cookie sheets.
